T	T M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered Christmas flowers for a friend who had a really bad week. I understand it’s a busy time of year, I also understand needing to make some substitutions. But if you literally can’t fulfill any aspect of the order except a pine cone, you should call to ensure they still want to proceed, particularly when the value is now about 1/2 of what you paid. What I ordered vs. what I got.

T	Teagan Monti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got a $50 thrifty foods card from my financial aid from my university I am a delivery driver and need gas to go to work at the moment as I only have $10 now, my friend who also got gift cards from financial aid said oh go into thriftys and explain your situation and they let me get $200 worth of gas cards from my gift cards, I go up to the customer service to this older lady at the desk I explain my situation and she’s angry and said no it’s our policy we don’t do that I’ll get the manger and she’ll tell you the same thing, I didn’t ask for the manager but I waited and the lady kept looking at me I felt humiliated she called her up on the phone explained the situation and it’s busy so I don’t get to hear much but I hear her raise her voice and say that’s what I told her so you come up here and tell her. The Manger comes up looks angry and tells they don’t do that which I understand it’s the policy and it makes sense but they didn’t have to make me feel so humiliated and upset. after I left I couldn’t stop crying and I will not be back at that store if that is how I’m treated for asking a question.

Updated had very helpful staff in bakery and freezer section both be very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices in the store have gone up a bit but staff is across the board been good at their jobs
H	Heather-Celeste Phoenix on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is ok for food prices however with much more increases I should turn to Walmart Supercenter in order to continue saving money. Fresh produce is a must and I find that out of any products fresh produce is taking the highest tolls on price increase. So I would blame the establishment on waste and hording products with other industries out for the same reason. Further the mall security sucks and are very rude people so just go on and ignore foolish people that runs with low budget malls.
p	pacificprospector on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you leave your cart unattended for 5 minutes, you'll have someone report it to staff and they'll treat it like airport unattended luggage. Then if you are lucky to reclaim it, they'll give you a long list of instructions of what you are to do in the future to avoid this. Wow. There are much more pleasant places to shop in Nanaimo, but I guess the folks on Cameron, Gabriola, and protection are held captive and have to shop there.
