v	vmaydin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service, they promise above and beyond customer service until they have your credit card number. Store manager told me that I don t have to worry about what it says on the rental agreement for being a little late etc. they always help their customers.. when I returned the vehicle couple of hours late, I was charged for an other day. When I reminded him our conversation, he referenced the rental agreement with a very rude manner... I have been renting cars from this business for over a year.. If you dont grant exceptions to the rental agreement, then dont promise them.. They are running a trashy business.. Stay away..
K	Kevin McBain on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During a pandemic it's been nice to see a lot of businesses take the precautions and steps forward to ensure customers feel safe and secure. As a car rental agency I had hoped that Thrifty would follow suit - however it's clear that it's not the case. The only thing they had was a plexiglass window, with no employees wearing masks, or no hand sanitizer anywhere to be found. The car was clearly not properly cleaned and the entire experience for my wife was unpleasant to say the least. We cannot justify using a rental agency who doesn't respect it's customers health and safety. Steer clear.

They'll give your car to anyone who happens to walk in before you, even after just calling you to confirm you're on your way. When you actually get a car, they are nice, clean and cheap, but good luck.

After looking at all other reviews, I was unsure if this location is still open (I booked at the Scarborough thrifty and turns out they were closed!!!), and other customers said they didn't have their car available...... So I wanted to confirm both things above (they are open & my car was available for tomorrow), but called the whole day, and so did Thrifty head quarters but no response again....
N	Nina Williams on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would NEVER book with this company and specifically this location. Booked with them using a government rate. When I arrived they informed me they wouldn't accept my government rate on the weekend and would not accept my payment method which both of these I had confirmed with the booking agent weeks prior and was written on my rental agreement. Not sure why the booking agent allowed me to book knowing this information. When asking for more information, he repeatedly pointed to a sign on the counter and did not communicate with me. He was extremely unfriendly, and was talking to his other staff about me, in front of me. I requested for him to call customer service in which he did and customer service would not do anything for me. Despite pulling up my rental agreement and agreeing that it stated the information I was being denied. I requested for them to pull my phone conversation on my booking and start an investigation. This investigation resulted in nothing being done, no apologies and "too bad you missed your event"
A	Andrew E on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unless you get a car in the morning you're pretty much SOL. The place is reasonable car rental rates. The real problem is they don't pick up their phone. I called and called and called before i came to make sure there's a car for me only to go all the way there to find out they have no cars. Totally screwed up my day. But why should they care.

Spent a hour and a half on the phone with customer service trying to figure out why the store and the reservation customer service team both have different prices on what the rental should cost. The manager of the location said he couldn’t do anything to help me and I eded up paying the higher price and leaving the store frustrated, as well displeased with my first experience using thrifty. Next time I’ll just stick to using Advantage car rental, way better service over at their side.

The woman who attended me had a very arrogant and aggresive tone. She told me that to add a second driver I need to do it when I pick the car, I told her there is nobody where I pick the car. It is a parking lot in a hotel. She said she couldn't find the location I was talking about and that was her only answer once and again. All this almost screaming on the phone. I was willing to make the reservation with then by phone but after her behaviour I just went to another company.
