C	Caroline Liu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best satay beef viet subs in Calgary. I've tried a bunch of places (my tho, Saigon deli, Nhu Y, etc) and this is still my fave. There's almost always a line, and it can be a bit of a wait sometimes, but it's worth it.

There's a line out the door, across the parking lot, to the sidewalk, and then down the sidewalk. And that's for good reason. I came here to continue my quest, waited in the line, placed the order, and paid for my prize. I took the sub in hand and departed the tiny shop. Immediately, the Fates conspired against me and cut the thread on this beautiful morsel. I fumbled my food football and it fell in such a tragic manner that it ejected itself from the packaging and landed, toppings down, in the parking lot. For a discerning beef satay sub enjoyer such as myself, there is no greater nightmare. I got in line again, fully ready to pay again for their fresh warm bun, spicy satay sauce, fresh ingredients, and cheesy goodness. But they gave it to me on the house. Now my quest is ended.
M	Mirren Turnbull on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best banh mi I've ever had and it's not even close. Everything about their sandwiches is amazing - bread, meat, pate, salad, all of it is delicious. And for less than $10! Only problem is the queue at lunch time, which can be anywhere from 0-40 mins+. Call ahead to order and/or see if they are busy.

Over the years I’ve been disappointed way too many times driving all the way downtown to get their delicious subs only to find they are closed for any random reason. Love the subs. Love the people but hate the business. I would give them five stars if they would just make a tiny effort in keeping their customers aware of their current opening hours either on google maps or social media.

The bun is perfect Bd lightly toasted, the meat is glorious, the toppings are the perfect blend of flavours. The price is great for the sub that you get. Staff is friendly and genuinely curious about how you're doing while they make your sandwich. I literally can not recommend this place enough. My only complaint is that I'm almost never in the area at lunch time! Go here, eat food. You won't regret it. I'd add a photo but I couldn't wait that long to eat it.
M	May Facundo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanted to try out this “high rated banh mi” place. There’s a long line, so was hoping for good results! Ordered 2 banh Mi’s for me and my boyfriend. One of them was 95% bread, 5% filling. The banh ni in overall tasted bland and not much flavour. Not sure what the hype is about. Check out Banh mi nhu y if you are in the 17th ave SE area, 100% so much better price wise and with flavour! The line and the food wasn’t worth it.
