If you can make good brisket, you can make anything good and this place makes good brisket. Who would've thought that good bbq can be found in Collingwood. The brisket was flaky and tender. The poutine cheese curds and gravy matched the fries well. They even have reasonably priced kids options. Hats off to these guys for taking covid19 seriously with an efficient online ordering system that's gives you the status of your order so you know when to go in and pickup.

The brisket sandwich is incredible but extremely confused and let down by their "Mac n cheese" it's legit penne noodles with cheese sauce poured on top? BBQ places are known for their Mac n cheese so I was very disappointed ? oh well. Will still return for the sammich

Great eats, no frills location and they do as advertised - BBQ. I've had great BBQ here and good BBQ here, but alas I cannot blame The Smoke. Love the fries here, always outstanding. I smoke my own BBQ and every cut is different, it's a risk you take if you want to indulge in this sort of cuisine. Overall good flavour and experience. Back to winter with fatter cows now means juicier BBQ, can't wait - tis the season! Keep it up team!

A nice smoke barbecue meat restaurant in the Collingwood area. Due to lockdown we had an online order experience. It is very polished with an easy to navigate menu and order being ready within an hour with notification on completion. The food is not bad. Ribs were a bit dry from what I expected but still had nice flavor. The chicken wings are always the king of the show and were not an exception here. The burger is a bomb. I tried all the add ons for the full experience. Brisket surprised me the most but had not enough of it. I probably will go for it for the next time. Since there is not sitting area at the moment we went to the beach and had a good lunch there. Enjoy and stay safe.

Quick and easy to order online. The brisket poutine was huge. Easily could be shared amongst 3-4 people as an app. Tasted good. The pig on a patty was ok. Food was very hot when we picked up. There is some seating available outside.

1/5 stars What was ordered: Pork belly burnt ends - 12.99 Sampler (chicken wings, brisket, pulled pork, fries, coleslaw) - 36.99 2x grilled buns - 2.00 each How was the food? 1) pork belly burnt ends We received a small container (same size the coleslaw comes in) with THREE pieces of meat each about 1 inch in length, width and height. Meat quality was poor and sauce was sickly sweet. In no way was it worth 12.99. 2a) sampler - chicken wings We ordered the Smokey hot flavour. The spice level was not even as spicy as Frank’s which is mild to begin with. Meat was average. There are definitely way better wings I’ve had for much cheaper with better flavour too. 2b) sampler - brisket Brisket was extremely dry. I’ve read other reviews which have said the same thing. The owner has been defending the dryness and blaming it on his meat supplier. From what I read the supplier was changed due to COVID and the new supplier doesn’t produce meat that has the same amount of fat content as before. I’m not sure how much this can effect the process but this was some of the driest brisket I’ve ever had. To call yourself a smokehouse and be blaming the supplier for dryness is quite ridiculous. Take ownership of your own shortcomings. 2c) sampler - pulled pork This was also okay. There was some weird sweet flavour in the sauce that didn’t sit right with me. 2d) fries VERYYY salty. 2e) coleslaw Honestly the best part of the meal. Not amazing but in comparison to the other items it stands out as the tastiest thing. 3) grilled buns Nothing to rave about. Average bun. Experience: I would rate the experience alone 0/5. This is due to the online ordering process and their COVID protocols. I cannot understand how the province is in stage 3 with indoor and outdoor dinning allowed and this restaurant is doing contactless dinning. You are expected to order online and pick up at their front door. Never interacting with a worker. Some of their COVID rules and regulations are: - “if you need a washroom then take your takeout home” - tables are not sanitized by staff - no alcohol on patio This is pretty ridiculous to me. The whole vibe I got was that this establishment couldn’t care less about customer experience. They almost have kicked their feet up and thrown the towel in. The Smoke is producing mediocre food at best and expecting the customer to pick up a hefty tab.

After reading a handful of recent reviews seems I will be echoing what others have said, its just ok overall. Food wise, I thought the pulled pork/wings/ribs that I ordered tasted great. The ribs could've been better but that's nitpicking/food critic stuff. The major downfall here is the packaging and pricing. I ordered a "large" salad, for $14+tax you'd expect it would be bigger than the size of your hand but here we are. I wasn't too fond on how they just threw all the meat & sweet potato fries together in one container, the fries probably would have been great, but ended up being soggy due to being packed all together. I'll agree this place isn't cheap, overcharging is subjective but I will say $14 for a salad is outlandish, and then after paying $2 more for sweet potato fries, they wanted another $1.50 for dipping sauce. I'm a little surprsied how the owner used to respond to reviews on Google but seems to have completely stopped over the past 2-3 months, wonder if thats a coincidence to the recent flood of poor experiences.

Food was absolutely amazing! Lots of meat and the flavours were so tasty! I could really taste the smokiness of everything. Customer service was also fantastic! They just reopened their door for indoor dining last Wednesday. Only point to improve would be to take one minute and vacuum/clean the bathroom fan… full of dust and almost clogged up.
