★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ambiance and service were excellent. Food menu is only breakfast type foods which surprised us a bit. We ordered the gluten free chicken and waffles and it was delicious, even if the presentation was a bit underwhelming. We will go there again for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Velvet Olive is one of red deers best back alley gems. The cocktails are amazing, and the new extended stage area will be great once live music is allowed again. The waffles we had(the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and the chicken and bacon) were perfectly cooked. Waffles are light and fluffy and everything paired well together. The service has always been excellent. If you have never been or have not been in awhile .....GO!
