★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This coffee shop is the perfect place to meet a stranger. It’s like a family. Everyone is friendly, over all there is a wonderful feeling of happiness when you walk in the door.
The coffee on the other hand, is amazing. They are definitely skilled at what they do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered an Americano this morning. Was charged $3.75. An Americano is just espresso with hot water. They sell an espresso for $3. When asked why I was charged 75 cents for water I was told by the clerk "that's the way it is" and to go "down the street to Tim Hortons". Don't waste cash on a parking meter downtown, take this clerks advice and go to Tim Hortons.
Also, the coffee is bland. A very disappointing experience from a first time customer.
The response from the owner which came four months after this incident occured - stated: "I know that our staff would never respond to you that way". It would appear that the best remedy for this company's sub par service and poor policies, is to call the customer a liar.
Further, espresso with water is an Americano or a Long Black...not a Canadiana. Does the owner know much about coffee at all?

We arrived just as they were closing and they still cheerfully served us. Excellent customer service.
My only gripe is that I wish they were open in the evenings.

I have to say your squash soup
Did not disappoint. Thank you for an Amazing lunch, Great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Can’t wait to try the hummingbird cake we brought home.
