We are celebrating International Plastic Bag Free Day on July 3rd by permanently eliminating plastic checkout bags in our stores as of that date.
Environmental stewardship is important to everything we do at The Salvation Army Thrift Store in our mission to help build stronger, greener communities alongside our Guests and Donors, and this policy is another way that we are living that mission. We encourage you to bring your own reusable bags with you to shop, or you can choose to purchase one of our own Refresh, Recycle, Restyle reusable eco bags for $1.99.
In Canada, up to 15 billion plastic bags are used every year. Eliminating single-use plastics like these are an important step towards a circular economy – something that we are proud to play an important role in as one of Canada’s largest textile recyclers.

β β β β β I often have great luck at this thrift store particularly with clothing. It is a medium sized store and is roomy with hight ceilings and good lighting. The change rooms are still closed due to the pandemic but I wear a sleeveless top so I can try on dresses and shirts in front of a mirror. I noticed that seniors get 10% off any day. β β β β β I enjoy going here to look for books to read. They always have a good variety, reasonably priced. We usually look around at the knick knacks and furniture too. Lots of unique items. Some collectibles too. Service is always helpful and friendly. We like to donate items here too when it's time to clear some space in the house.

Nicely laid out in a logical order but prices seem higher here than in the other Salvation Army stores for similar if not identical products . The 10% seniors discount every day is nice and the donation centre gives you a coupon with an additional $10 off . Some decent offers but shop wisely

β β β β β Clean, organized, fair pricing, and all staff are friendly and outgoing even when they are working hard to put new donations away.
One lady went above and beyond when she noticed I was taking my time with the mason jars - she quickly came to me saying they just received a box of jars and prices the box of jars for $6.99! I thanked her for her unexpected attentiveness, her professionalism, and her friendliness!
