β β β β β Deceptive business practices! Promised a certificate in exchange for class attendance & participationβ¦ bait & switchβ¦ MCCA refused to provide certificate unless we attended a 2nd course & completed additional feedback report (i.e. material not relevant to the studentsβ needs was being demanded as ransom for the certificate we already earned through participation in the 1st class). Attendance in the call-centre training was MANDATORY for some clients of Sara Riel, regardless of our educational backgrounds, future job-search goals, or physical disabilities (yes, a student with a hearing impairment sat through this call-centre training). Course material included a video of serial-predator Matt Lauer, which multiple students protested, but the instructor was insensitive to our feelings & proceeded to display the video anyway. Thankfully it was free to attend, but MCCA likely gets paid through government sponsorship, so we probably all pay for it with our tax dollars.
Recommendation to students: Avoid MCCA if possible. Recommendation to other businesses: please do not collude with such a shady enterprise!!!
