About College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
Each year, registrants complete a jurisprudence module in order to demonstrate Continuing Competency requirements as outlined in the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba General Regulation. Jurisprudence, by definition, is the study of the law. The College is committed to selecting topics which have the most potential to maximize benefit for the public.
It is anticipated that the topic selection process will:
- Identify RN learning needs
- Identify areas where the public is most at risk from poor quality nursing practice
Resulting in:
- Identification of a jurisprudence module topic that will provide greatest value to the public and registrants.
- At times, CRNM will work collaboratively with other regulators to develop a learning module that has application across disciplines
We are very excited to let you know that this year’s jurisprudence module is titled “2022 Scope in your Practice”. This module is now available and is a requirement to renew your certificate of practice for 2023.

I will give 0 stars, if I can.
An issue was forwarded to CEO/Registrar Katherine S, although I did not receive any resolution. She persisted to remain quiet.
The college does not have their criteria set up properly for the Reinstatement procedure for nurses who had a disciplinary process elsewhere. I've faced some extraordinary circumstances where the disciplinary issues I faced were not resolved from a previous province.
The college did not mention that outstanding disciplinary action need to be resolved before applying. But right after applying with a non-refundable fee, they do mention this.
Application fee wasted of 235$.
They hide their eligibility criteria before the application, and only say so after application and do not refund your fee.
And when I asked the CEO (Katherine S.) she refused to answer and gave me an incomplete answer. Then, another registration team member (Tammy M.) who was forwarded these mails, stayed silent.
Definitely not working with their mandate of Public Protection.
So, protect yourself as an applicant because this College do not care about you, do not protect you, they will profit from you without no remorse or guilt.
