★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hate to leave a critical review, but I didn’t have a great manicure here. My regular esthetician is on mat leave so I thought I’d try out a new salon. Booked in for the ultimate manicure with regular polish. My nail tech was very nice but unfortunately the polish she applied was streaky on one hand (the other hand was fine). My cuticles were clipped unevenly and it does not look clean. It’s now been one day since the manicure and one nail has already chipped despite me trying to be careful. The extra massage that is a part of the ultimate manicure was weak. Maybe I had an off experience, but I would not recommend this place and will search elsewhere for a manicure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very expensive pricing, and no justification . unfriendly staff. I have used their service until I realized they are rip off and charging way more expensive than anyone else. The front staff could be rude and unhelpful. booking an appointment was a nightmare, no return on call. I do not recommend this place, at all.

Great attention to detail and I spend the next few days getting distracted by my nails ? my nails normally last 4 weeks or more before they get too long for me and I'd have to cut them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriends and I had a great experience at The Salon Beauty Bar. Ang and the staff were awesome and accommodating. I got a Gel Manicure and it was probably the best one I've had to date. The pictures speak for themselves: perfectly rounded and perfectly painted. They had lots of selection for nail colours. My girlfriends all got manicures and pedicures, and they were happy with their results as well. I actually didn't know the price of the service I was getting and was quite happy when it turned out less than I expected. I have paid more before for mediocre gel manicures at other salons, so this was an added bonus - quality for a reasonable price! Will definitely be coming back here again. A tip though: the parking in front is insanely expensive ($7/hr). We ended up parking in another parking lot and walking over. Downtown parking is always expensive but you can save a few dollars parking elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anne has done my brows and waxing for the last few years and I always love the results. The Salon itself has a really nice atmosphere and is always sparkling clean. You're welcomed like an old friend by everyone and made to feel at home. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my brows or waxing but Anne. I look forward to my Salon visits as I know she'll give me stunning brows and we'll spend the hour laughing away. I cannot recommend Anne and the Salon anymore. 5 stars from me!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been coming to The Salon Beauty Bar since they opened back in 2009. I get everything done there. Nails, both hands and feet, eyelash tint, waxing. I love how clean they are and they treat you like family, so flexible and accommodating. I’m a picky (difficult) client and they never make me feel bad or judged for my OCD! Please survive COVID-19, I know how difficult it’s been downtown for businesses.
