Needed a convenient place to stay downtown for the weekend, the Palmerston was everything I needed. Clean room, direct access to Downtown core, and lots of restaurants and shops around. A hidden gem for sure.

very very bad There is no air conditioning There is no hot water in the shower or in the bathroom The sun is shining through the window There is no soundproofing I lived here on a Saturday and the street and neighbors were noisy all the night The worst thing is that you check out at 11 am and charge $25 if you stay after 11 am. There is also a $100 cash deposit And when I demanded to take it back, he was unable to have the money, so I went with him to the ATM for a distance of 500 meters until he recovered the security deposit. It's so stressful Worst experience ever

Do you dream of having a shower that includes a toilet and sink inside of it? Do you fantasize about inhaling the latest Glade plug-ins while attempting to connect to WiFi that works periodically? Perhaps you enjoy climbing on to a ledge to pull down the window shade, or hanging your clothing on a clothing rack that includes 2 (!) hangers? What about waiting 5-10 minutes for the water to warm up for a semi-decent shower? Maybe you love the idea of the door handle to your room sliding off completely every time you try to use it. If so, the Palmerston is the place for you! Located above an Arby's on Queen Street West, this boutique "hotel" has... well, not much! No charm, no ambiance, not even a front desk. Just some instructions on how to enter using the touchpad locks. Neat! Does it stop there? Well... almost! My room included an amazing graffiti wall that would amuse almost any 12-year-old on the planet. Cartoon skulls, bombs, and great catchphrases like "TAKE BRAKE" (sic) and "WOW! BRAINS!" really pulled the room together. On the plus side, the room was somewhat clean and the bed and pillows were acceptable. Truly a silver lining in this place that seems like a kind of Toronto Purgatory.

Stayed here for 7 days and the service was amazing. The staff is amazingly friendly & the room was clean and comfortable. I recommend it if you want to stay somewhere close to downtown with easy access to the street car and a great walk score.

Lovely room. We love the wallpaper and the unique design of the en-suite bathroom. Will recommed for more.My girlfriend and I was on a road trip to Niagra Fall, we spent an evening at downtown Toronto at The Palmerston, we found it in the perfect, close to restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed the nightlife in this part of downtown and we will come back next year.

As you can see, it is just a decent place. The room we had was very noisy and there were some issues with it such as the floor of the shower being broken or the door having a huge gap between it and the floor. If you are spending 1-2 nights here, maybe it is fine but definitely not for much longer.

I went to visit my friends who was there for a vacation. The hotel looked nice and the room she had was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were as well. The room looked clean, neat and tidy. I could not see anything negative about the hotel or the room.

It was a cute little room that I would describe more like a β€œcrash pad”! I mean for the price and it’s convenient location it’s worth the stay. Please be advised the room does not have a television and/or an AC unit. I mean it’s tidy and it had a walk in shower but no curtain in the window to block out your sun when it rises at 7am. So, if you go out late drinking (what i did) expect to wake up early the next morning. Also, no parking on site and street parking was a bit challenging to find. Luckily, I parked in a nearby residential street and did not receive a parking ticket. Overall, I just stayed for a night and served it’s purpose. I wouldn’t stay here for a multiple day trip with friends or family. Also, it’s quiet and safe!
