The Nooks Kingston

I love the location, look and feel of the nooks kingston! I am a candle vendor there myself and enjoy shopping all of the local and hand made options available. Great for gifts, everyday items (hello bathbombs, soaps, and candles!), and to find something truly unique.

This is the cutest store!!! I love shopping local and supporting small businesses. I was able to buy a kimono, honey, a bathing suit for my daughter and biscotti all in one place. Definitely recommend, perfect place for holiday shopping!

Colleen, the founder of The Nooks, is the most unprofessional individual I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I joined the Nooks in February 2020 and although payouts are written in our contracts to be paid out biweekly, it took her 9 MONTHS to pay me. During a global pandemic, when people were having trouble making ends meet, Colleen had no problem withholding my earnings. What sort of human does that? One with no morals or ethics. If waiting 9 months to get paid wasn't bad enough, after my restock items were shipped to the store in late September, Colleen casually told me (2 WEEKS after my items had been delivered), that they didn't receive my entire shipment. Oddly though, her employees signed as having received the shipments. Unless her employees signed for the delivery of air, things aren't adding up. Colleen has taken no responsibility for the loss that occurred and only gave me a " I don't have it". What am I supposed to do with that as I'm several provinces away. As a small business owner, this loss of SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS is devastating. On top of this, Colleen is taking her leisurely time in doing an inventory count of what they do have. Each day she continues to withhold MY merchandise, is lost sales (of whatever I have left) for me. It doesn't matter that I've explicitly told her I do not authorize her to withhold MY merchandise, and to ship it back to me right away (at my expense). Because I am not located in Ontario, she continues to take full advantage of this. Colleen is an extremely selfish individual who does not care for her vendors. Each attempt to resolve this issue has resulted in Colleen blaming me for the loss that occurred on her watch. I'm the problem. I'm the reason why thousands of MY merchandise has gone missing. Do your due diligence if you're a fool that's considering selling at The Nooks. You've been warned.

The reason I do not recommend the Nooks is very self explanatory. I attached the pictures of the interactions my friend had with the COO about their locations not acception cash as a payment method and the discriminatory nature of this choice. This is not only an very poor way of dealing with customers concerns, it is also exposing the fact that the only thing he truly cares about is the money, and NOT supporting local or being inclusive.

Great place for original and out of the ordinary gifts, home decor, jewelry and all the things you didn't know you needed!

What a great way to help local artists showcase their items and it also makes their items more visible and accessible since not everyone enjoys online shopping. Definitely will come back again!

I love the nooks! There is always something new and I love seeing the products of local creators! I always like to visit around birthdays or Christmas because it is a one stop shop for gift giving! Thank you nooks!

Princess Street has it's share of gift shops and boutiques but what makes this one my favourite discovery is that everything in the store is made by local artisans. There's a wonderful mix of pottery, woodworks, jewelry, stationary. I was delighted at all the talent curated in one place.
