I love shopping at local artisan gift shops, but when I visited this store, I got very bad customer service from whoever was working there, and half of the products I came upon at this store were the kinds of items that I could buy at Walmart or Dollarama with a jacked up price tag, the only stuff worth buying here is also sold at either The Artisanville in the Burlington Centre or The Handmade House downtown (which are truly locally owned stores), this store however advertised as being local although I see that they have franchises all over Ontario and in BC, lastly though BUYER BEWARE it says on the checkout that they charge an extra 13% fee (in addition to the HST), I never bought anything here nor do I ever intend to support them, if you want to buy locally made artisan items, I suggest that you go to The Artisanville or The Handmade House, which won't charge extra fees and have truly unique products, amazing selection and amazing service. I think the only reason this store still exists here in Burlington is because Mapleview is known as a very high end mall, and they probably make most of their money from people who do not notice the 13% fee in addition to subtotal and the 13% tax rate. I am just going to stick to The Artisanville or The Handmade House.

I loved the diversity of products, price base was certainly within reason, quality and unique crafts on offer and I was supporting a business that gives 100% of sales dollars back to its venders... 13% fee is nothing to pay for the convenience of having an assortment of venders all under one roof. This business concept is forward thinking and supports Canadian small business....
