P	Purrrplehaze on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We (3 people) came here in 2019 as a half-stop on our annual trip to Lake Rousseau hoping to make it part of the annual tradition. (see that review there). Skipped 2020 ?? This year, we (2) were quickly greeted and seated and given a menu.? The waitress then proceeded to take the orders of the table that arrived AFTER us. She couldn't have been confused on who came first as there was a total of 3 tables! ? We made our menu choices and I went to the washroom (a single, gender neutral, like home, room with sink, toilet, vanity, papertowel dispenser- which was empty). When I returned I immediately advised the waitress so, you know, COVID, wash your hands..? I was facing the washroom and it was NOT filled while we were there...and WAS still being used.. Our meals arrived and my companions meal was chicken although she ordered vegetarian! (again, only 3 tables 9 people..) She exchanged it of course. The meals WERE awesome! Large portions, freshly made and hot! The reason we came back! Would have been 5 stars again if it weren't for the 2 issues. Even mixing up the meal wasn't THAT big of a deal but since it was the only bathroom, the fact the staff all use it....during COVID... no... Only my meal displayed.

They also do not provide salsa de tomate for the papusas instead they give you a disgusting side for it. I’ve ordered from this location twice through Uber eats and both times they had missing items. This time it was an entire order of churros (12pc) and when you call they don’t seem to care. Terrible food, terrible quality and not worth the price. Stick with the Mexican food.

We ordered lunch today, and even though we knew it would be a bit longer with it being May 5, they still gifted us with samples of some of their other dishes by way of an apology, which was not needed at all. They continue to be one of our favorite family run eateries, and we are very happy that they have continued to operate. Come hungry, and whatever you do, never forget to order the churro donut.

Our favourites are the chimichanga, the green enchilada and the quesadilla with beef. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has a great Mexican vibe. We can’t wait to come by and enjoy our food out on the patio next time! They also have a little grocery section inside. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

The service was quick and the restaurant just has so much character inside. The food was so good! This was the best chimichanga I’ve tasted (and I’ve tasted a lot). I will definitely be going back next time I’m in Barrie.
