J	Jeff G. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great experience at this store, long overdue for the telling: Around 15 yrs ago, my daughter accidentally knocked over an antique crystal and glass floor lamp inherited from my wife’s grandmother. The cut glass shade shattered! My wife was devastated. And we knew it wouldn’t be an easy (or cheap) item to replace. A couple weeks later, I was driving home from Newmarket and saw the Light Shop on the side of the road. There were some interesting items visible in the window, including what looked like some antique/vintage items. I don’t think I’d ever stopped in Aurora before, for anything; but on a whim I went in, to see if they could help me out. Best decision I could’ve made! I was greeted by a friendly owner who patiently listened to my sad tale. And wouldn’t you know it? He actually had TWO replacement (reproduction) shades in his storeroom, from which to choose. And he assured me that if my wife didn’t like what I brought home, I could return it, “no problem.” There was no price tag on the shade (since it hadn’t been on display). In the circumstances, the store owner could have practically named his price. So I had my 2nd happy surprise of the day when he quoted me a VERY reasonable price for the shade. I was definitely the Hero of the Day, when my wife came home and saw the new shade on her grandma’s lamp! P.S. - 15 yrs later, it still looks fantastic.

I emailed a few stores to get pricing on some lights and Esther was able to respond back to me on the same day. Gordon and his son have been so helpful every time I visited the store. I also recently found out that they repair light fixtures as well! The store is well stocked and can order everything and anything you will ever need for lighting. I will for sure go back to the store if need anything lighting related.
