The Lakeview Hotel was developed in the early 1930's as a prestige vacation property within the Prince Albert National Park. It was no accident that early developers of this period chose the scenic location -- nestled high above the town site which offered beautiful views of Waskesiu Lake. Recognizing the uniqueness of the location the Resortco Development team was inspired to re-develop the Lakeview Hotel to create a legacy property for future generations to enjoy.

I would like to, but I am very turned off by several things in their website(which is well done by the way). 1st., I am coming for a HOLIDAY, why do I have to be concerned about a "greeter" waiting only 1/2hr for me? 2nd, a $500.00 damage deposit, are you kidding me? 3rd, a $200.00 cleaning fee??? Really? If they paid their cleaning staff $20.00hr., that means they clean each suite for 10hrs? Do the math, 12 suites rented for say a week at a time for 4 months equals a minimum of $38,400.!!! In cleaning fees? Is cleaning not included in every room rental fee? And if they have to do "extra" cleaning, they charge more? You mean 10hrs of cleaning cannot catch all of the dirt and grime.
Come on Lakeview Hotel, you have a nice new accommodation, do you really need to rip people off?
As yes, the no pet thing is a non starter. At the very least, do what MOST hotels do, and assign a couple of suites for those that want to bring a pet. Maybe try something novel, and have a no kids policy.
There is not even a mention as to whether they change towels or sheets(at no extra cost).
Like to stay, but...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is by far the best place in Waskesiu. The rooms are beautiful and so incredibly clean, the location is perfect and the manager is very helpful and friendly. You need to book far in advance though, it fills fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited last week to get away from the city. The Lakeview was a perfect spot to relax and get reacquainted with nature. Waskesieu is a bit sleepy in the winter time but you can still go out for a meal if you don't feel like cooking. Can't wait to come back in the summer.
