Last time I was here it was the West Arm Grill and was about 20 years ago. Nice remodel and a very pleasant log house interior. Food was great albeit quite expensive, especially for drinks that are in the $15 range each, $3.50 for a single can of pop, stuff like that. Decent wait staff although not attentive or as quick as they should be. A nice place for a special occasion maybe once a year or so, but the prices will keep most away from making it a regular place to come.

This was such a fantastic way to end a weekend getaway. The Halibut was cooked to perfection. The risotto was phenomenal. Every single bite was full of flavor. Through conversation with our amazing server, we were amazed to learn that everything that can be made in house IS made in house! The brownie and the raspberry sorbet was to die for! Thank you so much for a beautiful evening.

The burger we ordered was really good. Location of the restaurant is perfect during summer. Very nice view. Will definitely come back. Worth the visit and drive.

Great location and friendly staff. We had window seats looking out onto the lake. Covid screens are up and are nice looking. The food was nice to look at though we both found them to be a bit bland. No salt and pepper at the table but she asked if we would like some. I should have said yes. Bathroom was small but clean. Overall a great experience and I will go back, perhaps for dinner and the very intriguing cocktail menu..

Another great spot in The Cowichan Valley. Since moving here, we've been amazed at the quality restaurants in the area. Staff here are amazing and super friendly. The food could easily be in a 5 star spot in downtown Vancouver, but it's here... at Shawnigan Lake. Casual and comfortable surroundings... fantastic views of the lake... and killer food! Oh yeah... the cocktails are tasty and creative as well. Adding the Lake House to our list of go to spots! Don't miss it.

We came here for lunch as we love eating on the lake with a great view. The service was good. My wife is pregnant and although the cocktail menu is great, there wasn't alot of options for non alcoholic beverages besides coffee and tea. They did make her a non alcoholic ceasar which was tasty. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and my wife had the waffles which were good as well. In the summer time they have a great patio.

We booked a reservation on a weekday to celebrate a birthday at the Lakehouse last summer. It was our first time trying this place after reading many good reviews about it. The food was excellent. Most of the dishes were enjoyed thoroughly. We had the watermelon salad, tomato salad as well as the trout and artichoke dip for our appetizers. The watermelon salad particularly stood out. It was refreshing and all the savoury flavours worked well with the sweetness of the watermelon. For our mains we ordered the Short Ribs, Lamb Pasta and Halibut. The short ribs were by far the best dish of the night. It was tender and the sauce was super flavourful. The halibut was done perfectly, buttery flakey but also moist. On the other hand the lamb pasta was just okay. The pasta could have used a bit more seasoning, the garlic toast was extremely burnt but was still served. Service overall was a mix bag. We were greeted by a friendly hostess when we checked in but still had to wait 15 minutes before we were seated, despite having a reservation. It also took almost half an hour of waiting before our server (or anyone) came to introduce themselves. Between appetizers and our mains was another half hour wait for our food. There was also no acknowledgement from the staff that we were celebrating a birthday either. That being said our server was extremely funny and nice.
