A	Alfred L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food. I’ve been waiting for some good Caribbean cooking in the area. This spot is the best out of the ones in this area. Food is seasoned and spicy enough but not to kick you in the face. Rice is not dry like other places. They aren’t cheap with the sauces. Go for oxtail gravy. Lunch special is $8 all in. I went for the jerk chicken got 2 drums and a small thigh with rice and gravy plus coleslaw. Post COVID. Go support a local small business in this food court.

When the courier is inside to pick up, they take their sweet time serving the customer inside even though the deliver order is ready on shelf, rather than quickly giving it to the couriers. Either attend the couriers quickly or arrange for parking if you are subscribed to the gig economy delivery apps. Common sense...!!! Your are neither paying for the waiting time or for the tickets couriers receive while they are parked outside. On top of that the staff attitude there is — 10. Open a government office with that staff attitude not a customer based business. Garbage guys!!!
R	R D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered for delivery through skip. Got myself the jerk chicken with rice & beans and coleslaw along with a spicy beef patty. Everything was delicious, chicken was tender and flavourful. Patty could've been spicier, unless I got the mild by mistake. For the price, portion was pretty good. I wish they had a smaller portion for a cheaper price. Will order again.

Very well priced and I was interested in something spicy - so The Islands sounded great. The sandwich was perfect so that I don’t stuff myself and can focus at work. The chicken, cole slaw and the sauces were superb. The chicken was soft and crispy (if you can understand that taste) and the sauces were super flavourful. If you can handle spice, I highly recommend the hot sauce even though it is for 50 cents, but I recommend it. Great place for a quick bite for carribean food.

There are so many nerves that go with ordering from a new Caribbean restaurant. Will the food be flavourful? Spicy enough? Will it taste like authentic Caribbean food? I can confidently say this restaurant exceeded all of my expectations and I am so grateful. I placed a vegetarian order through Uber Eats today - 2 curry potato and chana (chickpeas), 1 vegetarian meal, 2 coco bread and a Tropical Rhythms mango drink. The curry dishes were seasoned so well. Finally, a restaurant that knows how to properly season veggie curry dishes! It had the right amount of spice from the scotch bonnet pepper and I loved to see the pimento seeds swimming in the gravy. The rice and peas were amazing and tasted like authentic rice and peas from the Islands. The coleslaw was fresh, but not too sweet and the coco bread tasted like it came fresh from the oven. I have been highly disappointed with the quality of food I have received from various restaurants across the GTA throughout the pandemic, but Islands Caribbean Cookshop did not disappoint. I will never travel to Scarborough or the West End ever again for Caribbean food. Thank you Islands Caribbean Cookshop. Great food at a great price! And big ups to the chef - you have a customer for life!
