★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Asked a rep for help finding three items in this store. He knowingly gave me detailed incorrect information on the location of each item. I remember when Home Depot first came to Canada. They put everything into being the place to be to get anything DIY. Since they have killed off all the competition the employees don't care. I wasn't looking for him to walk me to each location. Just a basic idea of where in the store the items would be would have sufficed. I think cooperate Canada has purposely lowered the standard of customer service to the point where we as customers have no expectations. Bottom line. Best bet before making a trip to this Home Depot. Go online and search what aisle and bay the items you are looing for are located in. Because the employees don't care if they send you wandering around looking in places they full well know what your looking for isn't on the shelf. Not holding my breath waiting for Home Depot to pass on the savings of having the customer find, check out, and bag everything they purchase in the store. Pretty soon we probably will have to stock the shelves as we remove the items for them 2. The more they normalize no customer service the closer they get to customers having no expectations at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to home depot laird drive Toronto location. Asked an employee for help with lighting. Told me they'd call and send someone. Waited around for five minutes then gave up and walked around and found air filters. Went back to lighting. Employee eventually showed up. Asked where water heater section is. Went to that section but none there. Went to a group of four employees standing around drinking coffee and talking. One left the group without acknowledging me, even though he was looking right at me. Other three kept on talking and ignored me. So I went back to the electrical section and kept walking around the aisles looking for help. No luck. Went closer to middle of the store and asked two employees who were chatting. He told me to look in the electrical area for someone to help me. I replied that I actually tried that already. He didn't like my response and gave me a look like I'm wasting his time and that I'm clueless. Then said he would call someone and walked away. I felt really upset so I left the store. Best part is I was there to buy a water heater with installation and removal of the old tank. The awful service cost home depot over $1,000. Zero stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good parking with a trailer. Tool rental is fast and easy. You can pull up beside the door and load the tool. The entrance for the drive way has large pot holes so make sure you don’t damage your ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store and amazing staff, down side when I ordered a trailer for pick up 2 weeks in advance for sat at 10am. It got canceled on their part at 8pm friday, called the store and they were 0 help. Asked if they had any trailers at any other locations and the person we spoke to said oh you have to call around and find out yourself. Kind of ridiculous if you plan ahead to move stuff and the night before they cancel on you. Needs to be fixed in my opinion

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to get things but to find small items. I was trying to repair a lamp and it was hard to find the parts as I needed online said they were there and I eventually found them. I did not ask anyone for help, but in the past the employees were helpful. I still prefer a smaller local hardware store experience than a big box store. Prices are not much different for small items so it’s really about convenience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mightily expansive selection of products here. Truly impressive how minuscule of a niche some of these projects are, including the full aisle of pink insulation in different forms.
I would recommend checking here before ordering online!
Both of my interactions were welcoming and bright. I look forward to returning!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is really ready for the holidays and has a decent selection. The store is very inviting and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is plenty of staff throughout the store ready to assist and answer questions. They also are very knowledgeable about products throughout the store and the best items to use for your project.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I researched the Home Depot website locking for a specific product, namely Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Soil in a 28.3 litre bag.
Well, I saw an inventory count of 15 in stock. At this point, I should have called the East York store to verify the information.
Off I went with my sweetie in tow because this product was for her indoor planting hobby.
Upon arrival at this Wicksteed Ave store, I couldn't find any in stock. Staff at Customer Service confirmed that their system said 15 in stock but noted that it wasn't correct and offered an apology.
A gentleman named Pham however, checked other stores and found an inventory count of 55 at the Home Depot Stockyards location. He tracked me down in the Seasonal department and handed me a piece of paper with the inventory control number and other product details written on it. He also gave me the phone number for the other store. Again, Pham apologized for this inventory error.
Now, that's excellent customer service even though their system caused me to come here for nothing. Note: Actually, that's not totally true because my sweetie bought 10 clay pots.
After using the self checkout station, it was off to the Stockyards tonight because I called and confirmed they have a skid of what I was initially looking for.
