I wish I could give less than 1 star on account of the terrible customer service at this store. I prepaid for an order online, and ended up feeling like I came down with a flu or cold before they had emailed me back saying the order was ready for pickup. Instead of cancelling, I found a friend who was willing to pick the order up for me. There was no option through my confirmation email to notify them of the change of pickup contact so I attempted to phone in and speak to someone… HA! What a joke! It took over 30 minutes and 4 times of calling and letting the phone just ring and ring to finally have someone pick up and help. THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME. So, I immediately phoned back assuming she would be waiting for it and my call would be answered right away. NOPE! again, I let the phone ring for several minutes, and then I’m hung up on without even answering first. Ok. I call, yet again, and am put on hold after 3 minutes of ringing, and then 1 minute later switches back to ringing. If you’re going to be taking substantial amounts of money from your customers BEFORE THEY OWN THEIR GOODS, you NEED to have appropriate customer service reps and means of contact. Or remove the online services if you can’t handle operating them! I’ve renovated 2 houses shopping mostly at Home Depot, spending well over $10k in your store and will never ever shop here again from this point on. *UPDATE* As anticipated, my purchase was not released to my pickup contact on the premise that I’m responsible for adding her name to the order. Which is exactly what I spent all morning calling your store trying to do. So now, as per customer services direction, I am to come in whether I’m sick or not to pick up my order . So, I’m coming in and cancelling my order and getting refunded and will be buying these supplies at Lowe’s instead! Unbelievable…. I can’t wait to give Lowe’s the remainder of the $15k in reno costs I’m still in for over the next few months! While I was in store cancelling my order, I couldn’t help but notice 3 employees behind the customer service and online order pickup desk. 0 customers were in front of me waiting to pick up an order, I was helped immediately. BUT the phone was ringing nonstop the entire time I was there, and not one of the other employees behind the desk bothered to pick up the phone. I think the older woman was too busy examining a small 1 pound box over and over again waiting for me to leave. Upon my arrival at Lowe’s, I was immediately helped and even pointed into the direction of how I can bundle some of my supplies and I ended up saving a few bucks. Save yourself the stress and annoyance and give Lowe’s your money instead! Home Depot doesn’t deserve it!

Friendly staff directed me where I needed. They didn't have what I was looking for. I noticed after going here and Lowes, that Lowes definitely has a better selection for cupboard knobs/handles... but most of the same/similar knobs were cheaper at Home Depot than Lowes for their regular priced items.

Furnace prices are extremely inaccurate, website states average furnace for a 1500 sf house is $3900. Totally understand its an "average". The subcontractor for home depot quoted me $6500-$7200 for my 1178 sf home(RT Heating&AC). Not extra work, just the furnace replacement. Very misleading information, when brought up to home depot they were all full of excuses. Waste of my time and hopefully help other customers not get "bent over the rails" -March/2022 Also got a local company to quote and came at 4k. Almost half the price. Check out your local trustworthy companies!

Home Depot in south Red Deer is located at 2030-50th Avenue (Gaetz Avenue). It is right next to the Walmart. This home depot location offers in store pick up for online orders, with clearly marked parking stall designated for online customers only. Home Depot is clean and usually has staff available to answer questions. Always plenty of tills open for checkout. They also offer free carpet installation.

Best home improvement store in Red Deer, just on sheer selection alone. Quick, no-hassle returns, make it easy to justify repeat business. They better pay well, because the employees are on the ball 99 times out of 100, and I want those helpful people to stick around; they keep me coming back.

Ordered a sliding patio door online in July, was supposed to arrive 5 weeks. After 2 months I cancelled the order and went into the store to buy a different brand. My research on the reviews made me hesitant to buy the door sold in stock but needed a door. Installed the door today and the blinds inside are stuck together and leaving gaps. No way to fix it as they are inside. Waste of time, waste of money and should have trusted the reviews rather than the home depot staff.

Walked in for a light fixture and spotted a set of deck furniture. Alyssa and Shannon greeted us and showed us all the features and how to order online. They were the best customer service individuals ever. 48 hours later my online order arrived. 5 stars

I have yet to have anything but a good-great experience here. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient, welcoming and when one needs a hard in a particular department and that member is busy with another customer or on a break, they promptly search for a member who would be most knowledgeable for the time being! Thank-you Home Depot!
