I wake up each morning excited to come to work and see the residents and staff. The food, the atmosphere, the activities....there is nothing better! The staff and residents have become my second family and I treasture every moment I have with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We moved from back east to be closer to our daughters and their families. Of primary importance was a place for my mother (88) who had been living with us since my father's passing. How lucky we were to find Cedarwood Station. When we were in the preliminary stages of checking things out we dealt with Shannon Fetterly. Even though we weren't quite ready to move, Shannon stayed in touch and kept us in the loop regarding vacancies, etc. Since my mom has moved in, she couldn't be happier. We couldn't be happier. This from a woman who wanted to stay back east, a die hard Maritimer?. She tells all of her friends how great Cedarwood is. To Shannon and all of the staff, thank you for your genuine caring. It's a great comfort knowing that mom is surrounded by "family".

However, the food was terrible, my father hated it, and worse, they take financial disadvantage of seniors by charging for damage that should be considered wear and tear given the age of the flooring, delayed repayment of damage deposits and rent not owed, and taking rent out of bank accounts long after the contract is terminated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In response to Ashley’s comments recently!! It’s obvious that your a very angry and sad person. My wife has worked at cedar wood in Airdrie for several years now. She was very upset at your review which I know for a fact is blatant and disrespectful for someone that’s obviously never walked through the doors! She left a much better paying job to work in a seniors residence because she loves our very precious senior citizens and talked about her love of helping the elderly for years before she started there. My wife worked a unsatisfying job for years before starting at cedar wood station. Since being at Cederwood she has been the happiest I’ve ever seen her. She loves the residents as they love her as well!! As I myself have met quite a few residents, I enjoy the way they talk to her like their own daughter. She gets along well with her teammates who also do their best for the happiness and well being of the very special people who live there!! Over the last several months in this very trying, life changing environment, she found the words to comfort and reassure everyone there that they WILL get through it!! And even made them laugh often!! Your review Ashly has absolutely no basis of truth whatsoever!! Shame on you and I feel sorry for you in a time when we all should be proud of who we are!!

They go above and beyond to make sure the residents are safe and happy and communicate well with the families.
