The Great Outdoors: Junior Outfitters is my favourite place in Calgary to shop for my kids. I learned quickly on my first visit to the store how friendly and knowledgeable the staff are. They have a huge selection of activewear for kids. The store is very deceiving from the outside. I had only imaged it to be a tiny boutique like store. I was impressed to walk in and find many options for my children throughout the store. We moved from footwear to yoga wear to outdoor wear to casual clothing to bags and food storage. Everything in the store is quality at a great price point. I now avoid running around from store to store trying to find my children’s apparel. I am always impressed with my finds at The Great Outdoors: Junior Outfitters and highly recommend the store to friends and family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store is our family's favorite place for shopping gears for my kids, sometimes even for myself. The service is excellent as always. They pretty much see my kids grow from the very beginning.
My most recent shopping experience was getting winter boots for my son. They helped him find the perfect size and style and my son was super happy. Thank you for being so awesome with the kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ONLY shop for quality and technical kids gear. Sheila helped us and is excellent at sizing and determining our needs. All the staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are great and they (currently) have a huge sale section. Nowhere better for quality footwear, mitts, and snowsuits. They also have an incredible selection of sunglasses for kids (and some good options for adults).

I have looked for shoes and outdoor gear in other stores and my kids end up in tears rolling around on the floor with me looking on exasperated. Here, they know to keep things simple. They ask you what you need, they show you the best options and then they bring out two choices for your child. They carry excellent brands so you know you will be happy with the choices no matter what. In and out with new shoes for the kids in under 10 minutes.
