The Fortunate Fox

Ended up going to the Fortunate fox this last Wednesday with a couple of friends. What a fun time we had. The Nachos and the cheeseburger were amazing. And the Margaritas were on point. Bene our bartender was so much fun and knows what he is doing when it comes to cocktails . All and all great service and good atmosphere. Definitely will go back.

Fun, casual place with a nice atmosphere. I love how the music wasn't too loud and you could easily have a conversation. The service was super friendly and seemed to enjoy themselves, bantering with us really casually. I had the pulled chicken burger, which maybe I misunderstood a bit. I was surprised that it came in sub-style buns instead of more of a burger bun. I liked the crunchy chips in it for texture and the subtle cilantro was delicious. The fries were a bit too salty for my taste but not bad. Really good experience overall!

Love this spot, very close to subway line. They have great deals every day, very chill atmosphere and I am not being hyperbolic when I say the Sunday Roasts are absolutely incredible. Compliments to the kitchen and bar and wait staff, delicious food and drinks, and fun game nights as well. An excellent dining or just drinks experience. Oh and Mike is Amazing, so funny and gave us an incredible dining experience.

We had a great experience at The Fortunate Fox. The restaurant is very cozy and nicely decorated and the food is amazing because of how fresh their ingredients are. I ordered the cheeseburger which was very flavorful and filling. Overall I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cheap delicious meal with friends or family.

Great upscale but relaxed vibe, with gorgeous mid century mid aesthetics. Food has surpassed expectations every time we’ve come. Labeled as fairly standard pub grub it is actually high restaurant quality. I am particularly impressed with the Sunday Roast dinner - as a Brit that’s no easy feat as this is a signature dish from home! Excellent customer service, very friendly atmosphere and they remember their regulars. Overall a great place for a casual lunch, upscale dinner, party, or just chill drinks.

First time coming here and the place was great! Fridays had live music, the decor was quaint and atmosphere was nice and chill. Prices were fair and matched reasonably in comparison to other restaurants nearby. The service was quick and both the hostess and server were very attentive. The food tasted great and mainly had pub options. The drinks were super cheap on Fridays as well, $4 shots and $9 cocktails of the places choosing.

The food and drinks were amazing service was spectacular by Isabella. We came here with our son and we left happy thank you.

From the moment my S.O. & I got to this place, we knew we were going to be in for trash service. First is first, there should always be someone at the front door ready to welcome you into the restaurant. Secondly, having a Locksmith fix the front door at peak business hours is extremely unprofessional and quite ridiculous considering that most Locksmith services work all around the clock. Thirdly, after waiting roughly 5 minutes just to have a staff come and greet us, I let the gentleman know that we had reservations and he just ignored that entirely which is rude & unprofessional. And lastly, I shouldn't have to get up out of my seat after waiting 30+ minutes for someone to come and attend to our table. Our overall stay at this restaurant was over two hours and that's ridiculous considering we both only had one drink and one plate of food. Now, as beautiful as the establishment is and how great the food was, I'm big on customer service and truthfully, it's extremely garbage at this location. I would not recommend coming here for a date night (or any night truthfully) if you're trying to have a great night. I do want to give them the benefit of the doubt considering the constant shutdowns that Toronto has experienced. However, service was extremely subpart and considering the place wasn't packed...at all... It's just not a good look. It's unfortunate (the irony) that the service was that bad because we would love to come back but after that service, we simply c a n n o t. Word of advice, retrain your stuff or hire people that actually care about their job because truthfully, my partner and I left with a bad taste in our mouths and not from the food. And to finally close, I would let your staff know that telling your customer that the table they're sitting at is "always forgotten" right before they're about to tip is an extremely foolish thing to do. Also consider removing this said table (the table in the corner by the bar..) that staff claim is difficult to remember.
