★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a great experience here last night. My daughter is gluten intolerant and they were super accommodating for her. Actually her GF pizza was the best we’ve ever tried. Server and owner where very pleasant and helpful. Loved the authentic Italian food and service. Will be back for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Server was rude. Service was slow. Calamari was overcooked, bland, and soggy and somehow over $30 for 10 rings.
Would not give me a wine list. Skip it
To reply to your childish rebuttal, I took my dogs home before you even served me the disgusting calamari. You didn’t even offer my dogs water and were very rude. If you don’t welcome dogs just say so. I asked you and you said yes, in a rude way if course.
You’re recommending a buffet? How about making better food and not being rude? What a terrible restaurant. I hope you go under

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just got off an airplane in Toronto and this was the first place I stopped. Fantastic Italian food. Had a glass of Riesling, octopus appetizer, Bolognese pasta, and an espresso. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! the service and employees were so friendly and accommodating. Eat here as often as you can! Ciao!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really love this place! It feels like you are dining in a restaurant in Europe. The server suggested the perfect wine for our meal, and made us feel like family. Truly a relaxing environment with great food and attention to detail. I especially love that you don’t feel rushed, and that they take great pride in the food they are preparing for you. A great experience:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Initial turn off was the lady asked if we had reservations and as we replied "no", she gave us the worst seat in the house. So I kindly asked if there were any other seats to the working gentlemen and he took us into the back where it was much more elegant and dimmed.
All except that, the food was excellent, the service was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing spot at top of U of Toronto St George campus on Bloor. Long fav of local academia and artists. Excellent selection of wines / cocktails. Euro-Bistro inspired modern cuisine with a twist of local. Best grilled calamari in the city imho... Amazing kale salad. Warm and inviting with attentive staff. Reservations recommended though a drop in at the bar works and you may encounter literary luminaries from Margaret Atwood to Dr. Vincent Lam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bar Mercurio is a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere and cozy, comfortable, lay back environment. The owner is very friendly and welcomed at the door and seated by him. The housemade Sourdough bread they serve is the best Sourdough bread I have ever had at any Italain restaurant in Toronto and really good quality Olive Oil too. My friend and I ordered pizzas and one appetizer to share. The pizza dough is a Sourdough and it was amazing!!! Bar Mercurio is now my top favorite pizzas in Toronto. The toppings are generous and good quality fresh mozzarella cheese and olive oil on pizza. I couldn't of asked for a better pizza. I just wish they had a least one or two more options for vegetarian pizzas on the menu. There is only the Vegan pizza with no cheese or the simple cheese pizza for vegetarian. If they had one more other vegetarian pizza option that would be great maybe a daily or weekly special for vegetarian pizza. The servers were okay but didn't look like they wanted to be there no smiles or anything and never asked how the meal was. I definitely come back again and hopefully the servers will be in a better mood or at least smile. But they were attentive maybe just having a bad day. I will bring back my friends and family and maybe there will be some more vegetarian options on there weekly menu. I love trying new pizzas
