★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place does not live up to the branding. There's nothing French about it. The atmosphere is depressing and the overall experience was unrefined. The food was not good. I didn't finish the app, and I didn't finish the entree. I came home still hungry. There are far better options in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food! Small cozy restaurant in a good location. The menu is very diverse. Many options of appetizers, saladas, pasta and meet. They also have daily menus. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious! The price is fair and the service is good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Owner Renold, is a genuine true human being and chef. He made these unique one of a kind sandviches for us once upon a meeting, and i asked him to put them on the menu because this guy has magic in his hands. Avant Gout is a classic masterpiece inside out.

Service and food are always fantastic, no matter how busy they are. The liver and fries were wonderful. I've had the rack of lamb several times and its always great. If you are looking for a cozy, romantic venue you won't be disappointed with Avant Gout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall delicious French food in a cozy atmosphere. Do try whatever specials they have for the day! They do not have much outdoor patio space.
My only issue was with the grilled calamari app - the calamari was over cooked, and under seasoned… think they forgot the salt
