★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this store after almost searching all other stores including home depot, IKEA, even some other local stores to get some lighting fixture for my room. No one was able to help. Nick (if I remember the name correctly) at this store was super helpful, he helped with picking the right fixture as my situation was kind of unique, he helped me with wiring and stuff at no extra cost and made the light fixture a plug in for me. He even helped me with figuring out how to install the light fixture as I cannot drill the wall at my current place! I def recommend this store although it's a bit far if you are living near downtown and don't have a car but it's absolutely worth it. Thank you again Nick for helping me out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The salesperson was great, however the delivery was not so much. Delivery is $50. so I e peut it to be into my apt. Salesperson said it would be, however the delivery man was hesitant saying it’s usually only to the garage, surely this is not the first condo they’ve delivered to. He then agreed after I made a fuss and he proceeded to complain about the owners being cheap, how he only makes minimum wage etc….and also does the cleaning. He brought it into the apt and just dropped it off, not where I wanted it. I will not refer anyone to this store if they need delivery! Usually I give a tip, but I was completely turned off!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big box stores sell products. The Electrical and Plumbing Store solves problems! Yesterday I needed to replace a bathroom exhaust fan. It was more than 30:years old and I couldn’t find a replacement that matched its size. As a result I was facing enlarging the opening and rewiring the unit. The Electrical and Plumbing Store sold me a compatible replacement motor. The job was finished in 20 minutes! They have solved other wring issues and have recommended electricians who did excellent work. I am a customer for life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were having trouble finding light fixtures for our adjoining living room and dining room. It feels like we went to every lighting store in Ottawa. I’m so grateful we walked into the EP Store on Ogilvie when Huthyfa Aldebs was working. Is it too much to say he is our hero? Because he is. Most salespeople ignored us in the many other stores we visited but he asked us questions about our space and our style and out of thousands of lamps was able to recommend amazing contenders within minutes. We just got the lamps installed and couldn’t be happier. He seriously has made a lasting mark on our home and we are so appreciative for his help. Cannot recommend him highly enough!
