โ โ โ โ โ The Dam smokehouse is a great little restaurant in Nipawin that specializes in BBQ. It is a bit of drive from Saskatoon (approximately 3 hours) but it is arguably the best BBQ in Saskatchewan. The menu changes daily so you never know quite what you are going to get. The restaurant does take reservations, which is good if you are coming from out of town. The pork belly I ordered was as soft as butter and exploding with flavour. The decor is awesome with the ceiling covered entirely in vinyl records. This is a must try restaurant!

โ โ โ โ โ Ever had a meal you can't stop thinking about? I had lunch here today on a friend's recommendation. I was expecting small-town diner fare but my tastebuds were in for a real surprise: I never thought in a million years I'd find real BBQ in SK, let alone in Nipawin, but here we are. Got the smash burger and sweet potato fries on our server's request and couldn't finish it, and I'm a big guy.
The meal was beyond finger licking good. Three hours later I was still smelling my fingers and dreaming of the tender smoky brisket I consumed earlier. I've already messaged a few of my friends and we're going to do a road trip there. I eat TX BBQ every year I'm down there, and this can hold its own. Props to the whole serving team, and the pit master, this place is great.

โ โ โ โ โ I would have never guessed I could find such delicious smoked meats this far north. Highly recommend stopping in and indulging.
Update: found myself back in Nipawin and had to revisit the best dam smokehouse in North America. I've traveled over 1000 miles for this meal and it was so worth it. FYI get the Brussel sprouts, absolutely deliciousness.

โ โ โ โ โ If I could I would give this place infinity stars. Had the brisket and it was like a religious experience it was so good. Melt in your mouth, the taste of smoke and just pure flavor was amazing. I grabbed baby back ribs to go and I can't wait to dig in. If you are in Nipawin and want absolutely heavenly food, visit this place. Make reservations or go early cause it gets busy fast, and you gotta get it before it's gone for the day.

โ โ โ โ โ Amazing barbecue meal! There were five us us so did it family style with a mix of ribs, brisket and chicken along with sides and a couple of orders of wings to all share. Huge servings, amazing flavor and outstanding service. Very cool decor and 100% supports the local craft beer and distillery industry with a great selection of beer and spirits. Worth the drive from wherever you are.

โ โ โ โ โ Have been coming the Dam Smokehouse since Day 1. The food is nothing short of exceptional. This is the place where i first discovered the true taste of smoke meats. It is just sooo good!!!
Super healthy sides like zuchini, corn and brussel sprouts are unreal and come with every meal. Portions are incredible large and can be easily shared with another person or taken home for another meal.
Local beer on tap is another great perk.
We also took meals to the farm customers on multiple occasions and also had it catered to large groups. It was always a highlight of the event!
Nipawin is oversaturated with restaurants but Smokehouse is clearly #1 ranked. Thanks tor Farrin and his team for providing great food for small town community!
