About The Burger Place
The Burger Place has been serving delicious food to Winnipeg for 29 years! First opened in 1987 by John Siates until 1996 when it was bought by Gus Vailos. It changed hands again in 1998 and was bought by the Kostis family. Currently owned and operated by Andy Kostis since April 2016.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Onion rings were very very good , fries were bad ,very bad , undercooked ,oily ,just bad .
Way more bun than burger , a Hugh sesame seed bun does not equal a great burger . Burger was juicy but not tasty, chili not tasty just overpowering .
Milkshakes look interesting but young man making them needs considerable work!
Might go bad for rings but that’s it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the poutine gravy. Not a fan of their bun, too hard not sure if it's stale or it's just made like that. I hope it's soft that way I'll appreciate the burger better. Little messy to eat but it was a good burger. I got a hint of cinnamon with each bite of the burger. Limited parking spot. I like how they have the buzzer whenever you order. It's way easier to get informed that the order was ready. Limited table space outside to eat. It's like a pick up and go style.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was quite excited to see a new burger place go up at the end of main. I had been hearing good and bad things about this place ??? I had a free hour the other day and figured it was time to give them a try. Quite honestly one of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in a long time. Right from the moment we walked through the front door it was iffy !!!! The guy at the till called me BOSS !! And hovered over the poor kid trying to take my order. The girls ordered milkshakes and one had a dog the other a burger and they shared a fries. Me I had a burger. The milkshakes were very watery and both girls were like GRAMPA LOOK. Not to impressed. The fries were soggy and the burgers and hotdog were at best a 2 outa 10. I wish I had something nicer to say about this place. But. The north end being what it is I would suggest they up their game.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ friendly staff playing loud music, super fast, reasonably priced, and my food was awesome. i usually never get chili on burgers but im glad i did today. the mess i made in my car was worth it! keep up the good work everyone

Four stars instead of five since I really miss the old days - dining in with the boss man himself serving up the burgers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WOW! I regret how long it took to try this place. You can taste the quality of the ingredients in the food- the burger was juicy and perfectly grilled, and the fries were beyond my expectations. Delicious milkshakes especially when seated at their patio. Thank you, will return again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered the Deluxe cheese hamburger ? with onion rings, and it was the finest burger I've ever eaten in Winnipeg. It was incredibly juicy, as if the meat had been precisely prepared with right ingredients. The onion rings were tasty and crunchy. I would like to suggest this restaurant to everyone because it has been operational in Winnipeg since 1929.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Burger Place came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Friendly and efficient staff, but the star of the show are the burgers and fries (and chili). They rank right up there with the best in the city - which is not easy in a town filled with quality burger options! I wouldn't hesitate to go back when next in town.
