Clean, spacious, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Animals are very well cared for (exercised, socialized, veterinary)

Went in and the staff was incredibly helpful. Large area for the dogs to play. Came home with our new family member Lucky. They were very knowledgeable on all of the needs of the dogs and had great suggestions for future services. Clean place with not many dogs and the dogs they had were well behaved. Very thankful for the service and would definitely recommend.

I can't say enough about The Big Dog House. Their absolutely amazing. They truly care for all of the dogs in their care. Anytime I was feeling anxious about surrendering my baby they went what I feel above and beyond to respond to emails about how she was doing there until she's adopted! These women are great and I'm truly thankful to have people like this in the world. I'm sure the dogs are aswell!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at The Big Dog House. Due to unfortunate reasons we needed to surrender our dog due to a biting issue. We were almost out of options as no other shelter was able to take him in. Melissa and her staff responded quickly to our inquiry and scheduled us to come in for a meet and greet within a few days of us messaging them. We got a thorough tour of the property, met all the dogs on site, got to see their living space (which is absolutely adorable with a couch, tv and all the dogs own personal beds inside) and a giant backyard for them to play in. It it exactly as the name says... A Big Dog House. We felt 100% comfortable and felt this was the right decision to surrender our dog here as he lit up and became his goofy self playing with the other pups. Melissa and I kept in contact as my family and I wanted some updates on how he was doing, until he was recently adopted with his new family. This meant the world to my family and I. Saying goodbye was the most difficult thing ever, but they gave us the ability to know we made the right choice and see through pictures how he was doing with his new family. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and I thank everyone at the Big Dog House for their outstanding service. I could not recommend anywhere else if you are in need of surrendering your dog, or if you are looking to make any type of donation, this would be the place to do so. We chose to donate all of our pups toys, food bowls, his bed and food carrier here. These workers do this out of the goodness of their hearts and work hard to find a new happy stable home for each of these dogs. Thank you all so much for everything!

The owner of the rescue, Melissa, loves dogs more than anyone you'll ever meet. I am so grateful that she saved Cali (formerly Penelope) and provided her a safe sanctuary. Melissa was very responsive, honest, and professional during the adoption process and I ended up with forever best friend because of it. The Big Dog House does not discriminate against any type of dog and truly believes in providing second chances. I recommend adopting, fostering, or volunteering with this rescue!
