★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous food, great attention to detail. The Kale salad is delicious. The fish dish and beef was also outstanding. Great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I was there once this week with friends and am going back on Sunday with my husband.

Had a really great dining experience at the Beech tree last night.
We had warm olives with flatbread, pork shoulder, grilled tuna special and the sticky toffee pudding.
All dishes were well presented and delicious.
Service was great from the owner and 1 waitress on duty.
Drinks were well mixed, tasty and plenty boozy.
I thought the value was very high for the quality of food and drink.
The only blight was the place smelled strongly of olives inside and the two tables outside felt a little desolate. Some lanterns would make a huge difference.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely top notch experience in all aspects. Each dish was next level special. The bartender is a glorious machine of perfect cocktails. Perfect service, fantastic house wine. I’m so so so happy that our city is coming back to life with restaurant culture and that my first experience in a long time was The Beech Tree. Special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You cannot possibly go wrong with The Beech Tree. This has been our local haunt/second home since moving here in 2019, and between the seasonal menu items (the sponge toffee cake), the regular favourites and the daily fish, it's all thoughtfully designed and well made. The drinks and rotating tap are great, and the service is always excellent. I can't say enough good things. You will never regret a visit!
