★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was referred to this place and Su long ago but was already going to another place. My other place closed so i thought i would give this place a shot.
Very happy i did. Su was very experienced, and took the time to understand and find the issues i was having. By the end of my first experience here, she has a better focus on my issues and how to tackle them going forward. My issues will take a few visits no doubt, and i cant wait to get back to it next appointment. They were great at trying their best to accommodate me as soon as possible, which i really needed attention right away. Great Massage beds there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Given the COVID restrictions that we've been enduring for the past 12 months, I was definitely in need of a good massage, and wondered if RMTs were considered an essential service (which I think they are). I was glad to learn that Susierra & her colleagues at Advanced Approaches are open, and was informed of the entirely appropriate and extensive measures they are taking to keep clients, staff & the community safe.
I was instructed to text just before arriving so that I would be met at the door, which is locked as another excellent safety measure. Upon entering my partner and I had our temperatures checked and the other COVID pre-screenings, and proceeded to pay for our couples treatment (an early Valentine's present for both of us).
Nick and Susierra were our *excellent* RMTs … both were engaging and respectful. They answered all of my questions, and respected my partner's silent bliss.
Always excellent, highly recommended.

I’ve been fortunate to experience many massage treatments over the last many years. Few of these compare to the quality and expertise shown by Susierra and her staff. Simply one of the best ever. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Susierra is simply amazing !! The booking process was clear, timely and efficient. When she learned of my ongoing lower back pain, she responded in an extremely skilled and conscientious way. I left her office without pain and very relaxed. I would recommend Advanced approaches to anyone, I have had multiple massage therapists and they are all wonderful.
A quick COVID related note, during and before my appt thorough safety protocols were in effect.

She absolutely made sure I was comfortable and used various techniques throughout the massage that really targeted my troubled areas. The entire hour felt intuitive, purposeful and intentional. You can tell that she knows what she's doing! I've already told my husband to book with her and I'm looking forward to my next treatment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1. They kept asking me for my credit card info before the session via text, which already gave me red flags. I told them I’d rather etransfer a deposit if necessary, but then they even went the distance to call me asking for my credit card info again.
2. Su wasn’t nice at all. Maybe she was having a bad day.
3. The massage itself was a 2.5/5. I asked for a deep tissue massage for my thighs, and specifically to focus on a particular muscle. I barely got a “deep tissue massage” and I only noticed the area I specified being tended to for less than 10 seconds for my whole 45 minute session. Im not exaggerating.
4. Lastly, to top everything off, the card machine asked for a tip. Naive me paid the tip, but after some research, medical professionals should never be asking for a tip for a “medical service” being performed.
Overall had a negative experience. Not sure what’s with all the 5 star reviews.
