★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my standard poodle in for a cut a few weeks ago. Recently moved to the City - it's always a bit nerve racking bringing your pup to a new groomer. I was blown away with how great his cut was and how efficient they were (2 hours for full groom package). Staff are all very friendly and the shop is well kept. Highly recommend!

Even during these incredibly difficult times, they took the process slow with our nervous dog.
Carolyn offered great advice to us to work on at home prior to the groom, and helped Lucy learn to like grooming a little bit more than she had previously.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Barking Barber always does an amazing job with our Samoyed. Carolyn takes her time in getting to know the pups and is very caring towards them. Our dog is groomed meticulously by her and he is A LOT of work. We have tried various groomers around Ottawa and found our dog never wanted to go back to them a second time. We are so lucky to have found this gem as our dog goes into the shop happily every time which means we never have to worry about leaving him there for his groom!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great pet groomers in Hintonburg. The staff are knowledgeable and comfortable around dogs of all kinds. They have consistently taken great care of our long haired German shepherd Vida, who is a rescue with some separation anxiety and a mild fear of water. It is a little pricier than some of the more generic/chain groomers out there but that’s to be expected considering they are a small business in the heart of a trendy area. Keep in mind that they are VERY popular (likely given to their quality as well as being one of few groomers in an area with lots of population density and not many vehicles) so you will need to book in advance.
Would recommend to anyone who is looking to upgrade from their current lacklustre groomers or who has a dog that could use some more care.
