Amazing ski hill! Very cute and quaint Village in the center of it all. Perfect for ski in/ski out! Great staff and such a lovely experience all around!

Stayed during the summer so there wasn't anything going on up in the mountain. From what I can tell though, the rooms were big and clean and there were plenty of storage space for skis.

Great house. Room lnclude alot of facilities. Very calm and cozy. Shared spacious kitchen. Would be nice if there was a hand wash too in addition nearby kitchen. Nice community lot of houses. But beware guys the route from highway to hotel is kind of scary at night for the first time as there is very low frequency of vehicles and no close houses in the route. So if you get a break down pray to god that no bears come that way.

The lesson instructor from Denmark was fantastic, I couldn't have had someone better for a refresher on skiing! The runs were super cool (more challenging then hemlock). It was a great experience and I recommend trying Apex if you are looking for more exciting green and blue runs.

Amazing deal in a beautifully renovated room that has tons of storage for all the excess ski gear. We love the bunk bed and queen bed set up for our family of 4. Bunks are around the corner, so everyone feels like they have some privacy. The front lobby has a cozy living room setting with a welcoming fireplace. Great place to chill after a day of skiing. We'll be back again!

Really hard to write this review because I feel like there is potential with just a bit more organization or care given into this property. To us it was nothing short of a nightmare from the start or end. Room was not ready after a text to check in...called the number we were told to, no answer, went to the building across the parking lot they also told us to go to, no one there either. Wasted about 20 minutes just trying to figure out how to check in, before the maintenance man let us in. We've stayed at many hotels at different ski hills, as well as airbnbs and private homes and have never been charged a cleaning fee as high as they charge here. 135$ is absolutely insane, for a room the size of a closet. Had to reach out to management a few times, like when we arrived, or for the morning the hot water tank didn't work and not once did they reply or acknowledge there was an issue. From roughly 2am until 5am all we heard was a door slamming shut frequently, someone running up and down stairs, either the owner or host (since we were the only 3 people staying there) in their flip flops constantly pacing the hallway. The host was nice, and so was the location. It wasn't a welcoming stay, and we felt that it was an experience we would recieved from a 50$ a night hotel not 159$. Probably wouldn't ever come back.

Really enjoyed having the option to stay on-hill with my two kids in an affordable room. The reservation + check in system is all online and is a little clunky, but fine. There are different codes for each door (it does let you change your own room's code) so make sure you bring a marker to write the codes on your arms! The ski locker is a room with pegs to lean your gear on with a code on the door. The Lodge is the little blue cabin to the north of the ticket window (your left as you look at the buildings from the parking lot). From a lot of the pictures here and on the Apex website, this is unclear and I thought we were staying in the one that looks more like a hotel, closer to the hill, but that one's called the Inn. It was all clear once I got the email with check-in details but it did cause some confusion. I wouldn't particularly call this a ski in/ski out location, but it's just a very short walk to the village so it's not a problem at all. The room itself was good - some modern updates and good usable spaces. My kids loved the bunk beds with reading lights and there was enough room for our gear in the entry area. With 4 or 5 people this might not have been the case. One nice thing to have would have been a mitten dryer to put near the baseboard heaters. Bath + shower were good, nice hot water and good pressure. Love seeing the shampoo and soap dispensers instead of the wasteful tiny bottles! The shared kitchen was closed and this was a disappointment as we had brought some food that particularly needed kitchen prep and this was not indicated anywhere online or in the emails. We ended up eating at the restaurant which was fantastic but if I would have known that, I wouldn't have bothered with the coolers of food. ? It was quiet when we were there but I think there were only two other rooms occupied at the time. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. You are expected to bring your garbage to the waste transfer station which is on your way out of the parking lot but not obviously signed - you have to be looking for it. But it's a very well organized system inside the building. Overall we had a good stay and we would come back :)

This lodge is awesome! It’s got a really cozy mountain lodge vibe with clean rooms and friendly staff who are accommodating and easily accessible. And like everything on Apex Mountain, it’s a stone throw from the slope, the salon and the general store. And even if it was 1 star hotel, Sherrie’s cookies alone would bump it up to a 4 at the very least. 5/5 would stay again!
