The Allergy Clinic ( PEDIATRIC AND ADULT PATIENTS)

The clinic is spacious, bright and CLEAN, which is important in this type of setting. Teresa at the front desk is always friendly, welcoming and greets everyone by their first name. The nurses are competent, kind and communicate openly. Thanks for always making each visit a positive experience!

The reception staff and the nurse I had are very nice and welcoming. The nurse explained everything she would be doing and the next steps in the process, and answered all of my questions. I arrived pretty early for my appointment and they took me right in for my allergy shot.

Waited an hour and a half for my 5 year old’s appointment and we decided to leave because there was no real end in sight for our waiting. Not sure if they are overbooking on purpose but not a good experience. The waiting room is packed and it’s Covid so even more concerning. Got a new referral to another allergy clinic. Wouldn’t recommend.

Kind, inviting and knowledgeable staff! Very accommodating to different schedules when planning allergy shot visits. Would recommend to anyone with an allergy needing support.

Cal was absolutely amazing, came to our home and did our tests. What a treat, he was professional, respectful and very funny, we had some great laughs with him. He did an awesome job and was very efficient and knowledgeable. Sent us the results on time, delivered just as he promised. Thank you, Cal!! God Bless!!

What went right with this clinic? If you do use these reviews please be aware of the complaints. Privacy issues, doctor isn’t in the office, being talked down to by the staff. This is a private clinic and their compliance with Alberta standards is terrible. Lol claiming abuse. If your private and personal information was disclosed would you as a patient be upset? There are ways to protect yourself as a patient.

Atrocious communication. Had a virtual consult with the doctor after they received my referral which lasted (no exaggeration) 3 minutes. It went something along the lines of “so I hear you want to get tested for a ____ allergy” “yes” “okay great we can do a patch test for you, the office will call to arrange a time.” 30 minutes later I get a call from the office that they don’t even have the materials to perform said patch test. Now, the doctor knew which test I was seeking from the referral so why would they waste my time with a consult to begin with? Probably because the Dr is practicing from out of the country (Africa) and did not communicate with his physical clinic beforehand. They asked if they should contact me if they get it in the future and I agreed. Fast forward to months later I am able to get it done, yay! I show up to the clinic expecting a small patch but nope it’s 30 patches taped down covering my entire back. Inconvenient but not the worst, however, they also didn’t inform me I would not be allowed to shower or exercise/sweat for the next 2 days. Annoying but not the end of the world. As I’m leaving though, they ask if I want to pay now or later—this is the first time I’m hearing of any sort of fee. It’s $140. I paid but honestly ridiculous that they were not up front about costs because that allows the patient to decide if they want it done or not. $140 for what I was getting done seems like a waste so I would not have proceeded had I been told ahead of time. Ridiculous. When I go to get the patches off I find they have tested me for multiple different things, which explains the large area of patches. However, I never consented to all that testing, I was told only that I would be tested for 1 thing in specific. They take pictures of your skin and send it to the Dr since he is remote so you will not actually get an in-person assessment by a physician.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Vincent for exactly an year. This coming MArch will be an year since I started taking my allergy shots and I must say I do see the improvements already! Before If I couldn’t start my day without taking my antihistamine now I take it every two-three days. The staffs of the clinic and Dr Vincent is amazing. Hoping to see more improvements soon fingers crossed!
