A	Ash Ly on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This retirement home needs to hire new staffs. All the staffs here are disrespectful and uncaring. As a student for a month, I've witnessed a lot of things that I cannot bear to hear or see again. I can list so much things that went wrong here. From staffs arguing and gossiping with one another to treating patients and families as if they weren't the main priority. Also, students were always to blame for when something goes wrong. Patients were ignored a few times when seeking assistance to go to the washroom. Either the staff here are angry or are have a really miserable life. Either way, this is not how a working environment should be like. I really would recommend a staff inspection for this retirement home. ** I agree with the two other reviews below, 2nd floor has the most disrespectful and unprofessional staffs.
A	Adam L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wouldn’t advise bringing your loved ones to a place where they are letting their residents DIE by the hundreds with rampant COVID spread and greedy incompetent management. How much $$$ have the shareholders got in payouts? Could have used the money to staff nurses and doctors.

My mother in law Connie is Canadian citizen and 88 years old dement and living in Tender Care Nursing home Scarborough. My husband used to visit his mother twice a year and rang her up every day when Connie was living independently in her apartment. When he rang he as usual he noticed Connies phone was disconnected. My husbands half brothers wife Kim had arranged an appointment with a lawyer overturned Connnies last will and POA. Now my husband can never talk to his mother or see her again. We are not on the contact list in Tender Care and denied talking to Connie. To all LAWYERS ..... when a person contacts you for an appointment to change POA and last will of a frail, dement elderly please take your job very seriously. Elderly people are forced and pressured into doing something with deverstating consequences. And to all POA s -----remember an elderly persons bank acount is not your personal bank account and an elderly persons proberty is not your personal property where you can benefit yourself. An elderly person has still got human right and is not a prisoner. Elderly can still talk freely whenever they wish. ....What i have learnd your last will might not be your last will......this could be happening to you too. PLEASE make sure and CHANGE the law in Canada. To all nurses and carers in Tender Care thank you for your hard work looking after elderly in such difficult times.

D	Dash Riprock on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Provincial inspectors reported on health and safety concerns in this dive -- that residents werent getting their meds, werent getting enough water, staff not wearing protective gear etc. 81 people died there and another hospital had to step in and take over. Can I give these criminals a rating of -467?

I think people should forget the pass n look forward. I believe they will try to do their best to take card our love one who is stay with them. God bless all .????
W	Winnie Leung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 98 year-old father has recently moved to a nursing home in Stouffville on April 11 after six years at Tendercare (5/F). My family and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff, and especially to the staff on the 5/F --thank you for your kind and compassionate care of my father. We are particularly grateful for your professionalism during the stressful months at the height of the pandemic. I wish to make a suggestion regarding finalizing payments. During an in-person meeting to discuss the final payment with an admin on April 8, I was notified that after paying the accommodation fee for an additional month as notice payment according to the terms of the contract, all fees will end on May 5. I was surprised to receive another invoice by mail notifying that I am required to pay an accommodation fee until May 31 via bank autopay; The remaining balance will be reimbursed in approximately two weeks time. The admin should have notified us of such arrangement on the day we discussed finalizing payments. We are fortunate to be able to manage the unforseen sum at Tendercare in addition to fees at the new nursing home, but many seniors are not. I sincerely hope Tendercare can improve on the procedure for finalizing payments and its communication with the residents and their families regarding payment procedure.
