Highly recommend! Really good services and the fish are fresh! It's one of the place that have mackerel and torch salmon, not every all you can eat sushi have them both!

Food was okay but it wasn’t as good as it was said in the review. They did not gave the right amount of sashmi / sushi as we ordered. We ordered 30 pcs but they only gave us 20 pcs. All the staffs were kind but one staff’s hand lotion scent was too strong. Eveything she gave, had the scent on it. We could’t use the cup she gave. I paid around $100 for two, including 10% for the tip. It was not worth for it.

Very nice all-you-can-eat selection at lunch. Best to order everything you'd like at once since it is pretty busy so you might end up waiting fairly long between orders. Miso soup was light and tasty, good nigiri and hearty fresh rolls.

What an incredible find right in downtown Montreal in the vicinity of St Denis. The moment you enter Takumi, you know that this is not an ordinary AYCE buffet restaurant. The ambiance is exquisitely calm and the service personable and attentive. What it lacks in selection at lunch (for instance not a single one of the sashimi options are offered on the lunch menu), it makes up for with lower pricing and high quality nigiri. Even the sushi rolls, as pointed out by my lunch mate, were not bulging in rice but had generous fillings. It is also uncommon to find deep fried cheese sticks (yummy!) and freshly steamed dimsum items at a sushi buffet, let alone irresistible dessert options such as cranberry coconut sago, grilled pineapple in maple syrup and Nutella nigiri! The Hunan dumplings were to die for… I literally could swim in that delectably rich peanut sauce which had a hint of chilli powder that simply took it up two notches, I found myself spooning it all up. But what Takumi best left me with was the loving feeling that, even though it was a buffet restaurant, it simply didn’t feel at all like one. Each plate sat before us was a piece of art, crafted by passionate chefs who took pride in presentation and served by a team of wonderfully professional staff, several of whom were of Japanese descent. Before we left, I even momentarily toyed with the idea of moving to the neighbourhood so that I would be able to dine here daily (yes, it was that good). The only let downs were the tempura shrimp (very thick batter, almost pogo-like and certainly not the light, flakey tempura that it should have had been) and general Tao chicken (dry, thickly battered white chicken meat, overly salted and very lacking in sauce), yet these disappointments were insufficient to steal a single star from this easily 5-star establishment.

Definitely a good sushi spot in Montréal. Miso soup felt like home, skewers were amazing especially the shrimps and even the cheese sticks were delicious. Sushis on the other hand is the reason I did not give them 5 stars. They are great but most of them taste the same. My favorites were Sakura and the California. Dragon eye was their only fried roll and tasted okay

FOOD: tasty and good looking food served on time but they forgot our soup ? PRICE: 42.55$ per person for the sushi ? buffet SERVICE: AJ the waiter who served us was so nice, we asked him to take photo of us and he did it in a lovely way. Also in the front door they welcomed us and took us to our table by giving us option to choose between 2 spots HYGIENE: I didn’t have time to check but looks okay ENVIRONMENT: obviously the restaurant is busy which is a sign that their business is doing well, and employees are all working hard THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW

Check out this hidden gem located on the corner of ST-Denis and Sherbrooke. This Asian sushi and fusion buffet has a great ambiance and taken care by the friendly staffs and owner. Incredible variety of all-you-can-eat menu that has more than just sushi. Everything is fresh and impeccably delicious with vivid and creative presentation! Fast service! Highly recommended!

Good price quality ratio. You can order multiple times until you are full, served quickly. 40-50$ per person with taxes and tips. The only thing I didn’t like is toilet, you need to take a key to open the door.
