Service was good even though they mistook my roast beef order for tebasaki, but they took care of it really fast. The food quality was REALLY high but at normal price the curry would have been expensive, especially if you compare the portion to Japanese portions. The price for the roast beef was acceptable. If the curry was slightly cheaper it would be really ideal. All in all I'm looking forward to going back and finish their entire menu.

We ate the takoyaki and fried tofu to start, they were both very good and we were impressed by the presentation. We then had the oyakodon and steak bowl which were also excellent. Overall the meal was very very well priced, had very good presentation, and tasted very good - I think this is going to become a regular place for us

I tried both a Chicken Katu, Nabe Soup and Oden Soup here and they made pretty good Chicken Katu! It's nice crunchy outside and very tender inside. Nabe soup is perfect as well and it comes with a rice and an egg which you stir with in the soup to add a bit of creamy flavor. It's optional. From my Korean perspective, I would say this is 80% Japanese style and 20% Korean style. Anyway, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for Katsu and warm soup for the winter. ;)

This location was previously Casa Tapas as we still see some left over decorations. The service was good, although it is hard to judge as we were the only ones that day. I have to say that the food was very good! The chicken katsu was my favorite as it was so juicy and tender!! The tonkatsu, katsudon and karaage were also very good. Prices are also reasonable. Will definitely come back if I have a craving for tonkatsu! I also loved the homemade Raku sauce. Would have loved to have some horseradish like in Japan.

TL;DR: Great place to eat for a grub of Japanese food. Fast, friendly service. Prices are fair and lots of room to grow as a business! My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat after coming back from the Jardin des Lumières. Cyclists will know there's lots of late night (10pm) choices for a weekday on Rachel, but we weren't looking for fries. Landed in Raku! Kinda had our doubts since it was empty at the time, but looking at the menu and having a taste of the place, we're glad we stopped there! Fast and friendly service: I asked for a smaller bowl on the side for the Karaage Don so we could split it in two, they did it for us! Got served in around 15m. Menu: Appetizers, Dons, Curry, Oden. The surprise was the Suki Yaki. we'd never heard of it before. We were too hungry and surprised to ask our waitress how to eat the raw egg, so we Google'd it. Delicious dipping sauce was the answer. Prices: Mostly below 15$ if I remember right. Go back? Absolutely! I need to order other classics like takoyaki and edamame!

An obscure little Japanese restaurant run by Korean. The dishes were delicious and honest in terms of pricing. The curry was flavourful, the soup hearty and the service fast and courteous. I do believe that the ambiance could be vamped a little bit better and if they would be a smaller restaurant, it would make the ambiance cozier.

Their Assorted Oden soup only has ONE type of ingredient. And it cost $12. If I’m only getting one ingredient I can go to whichever asian super market and get a frozen one for $4 and it’ll be more authentic. Really disappointed especially when they have so much good reviews. Btw the pork was dry af

I used to love this place for their authentic japanese tonkatsu but I won't be returning any more. My tonkatsu was so dry and stale and looked as if the meat had been left on the counter to dry all night before being deep-fried (photo included for reference). I tried contacting them before posting any reviews, but I have not heard anything back after almost a month. Very disappointed and will never be returning to this place.
