I was so impressed with Tailz grooming! My small dog has a lot of anxiety and I've had trouble getting him groomed. Not only were they able to actually groom him...but they made him look amazing in a reasonable amount of time! He looked so beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly. I'll be going back regularly and am so grateful I found them! Highly recommended.

I started taking my pup here primarily for training and daycare, but for the entire time I had saw no improvement. It had taken the team there months for them to even send home a "report card" to me, yet there had still been no progress. When I tried talking to the trainers I was continually brushed off and was never able to talk to them about the training happening with my pup. Being quite frustrated with the situation I pulled my pup from their daycare/training services and only went for the occasional nail trim. The first few drop-in nail trimming sessions were okay, but at some point the nail trimming became very inconsistent. Sometimes they would do a great job and other times it was like my pups nails were never trimmed or they would cause injuries to my pup by filing too short. I stopped taking my pup here all together after all the inconsistency, but did go back for boarding as I needed some place to board my pup very last minute. When I had come in to drop off my pup she was immediately being chocked by the leash that the staff had put her on and continued to choke and yank the leash despite me telling her to stop. After that incident, I cannot say I will be giving this place another chance. Overall, definitely not the best place to take your dog for grooming or training. The staff here also seem to care more about how cute your dog is than doing their job and the lack of communication between all staff is quite pathetic. I suggest prioritizing more attention and care into the dogs.

Last year I took my 12 week old Boxer puppy to Tailz for the Puppy Classes. I had her there Monday to Friday for a month. It cost me just over $1,400. I was told they would work with her and train her. When I picked my puppy up. I was not told on what I had to work on at home, or what the puppy was trained on for that day. I received many phone calls that I had to pick up my puppy, because she was Aggressive and attacking other dogs. I asked the staff to work with my puppy to fix this problem before it gets out of control. The staff said they will. I was still receiving phone calls to pick her up because of the problems. On the last day that I went to Tailz, I was told my puppy was still aggressive to other dogs at daycare. I made the Decision to put the puppy down the next day. I was thinking if people that are trained on how to handle dogs is not able to control my puppy. What chance do I have. When I advised Jill at Tailz that I was putting my puppy down, she became upset. One of the girls that works at Tailz then wanted me to give her my puppy and she will train her, as she is a Certified trainer. How is it that when I a paying for the staff to train and work with my puppy they can’t, but if I give them the puppy they can. I still put the puppy down the next day. I was worried that the older the puppy got, there would be a chance she would attack another dog. Then I be forced to put her down. Like I said before, if the staff at Tailz could not control her and work with her. What chance do I have. They did not even offer to help me find someone that could help me. So I took that as my puppy was not able to be trained. I am still very upset with how everything what handled from both Jill and her staff. I felt it was all about the money and nothing else. I email Jill shortly after I put Cinnamon down, and Jill still has not responded to my email.

I just got a reply from the owner of the dog grooming establishment, he seemed really defensive about any criticism. This was my first time at Tails, the only reason I went in was because my regular groomer was not making appointments for 3 weeks. My regular groomer never charged extra for anything. The price is the price, except at this place. I got an appointment the next day after i called to make a reservation, which shows how slowvthis place must be.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with my groomer, she was great. My issue was with what was all done and how much it all cost me. I went in to have my cat groomed, normally 65 dollars is reasonable. All that was done was a good brush and clipped nails. I requested that they do not bathe her so it was an extremely easy and fast service. So I feel that $65 for a brush and clipped nails is excessive. I'll take her back for another chance in a few months but I guess I needed to specify exactly what I expect. My cat seemed very relaxed when she came out, she was back to her normal self as soon as she got home so I thank my groomer for taking care of her. Edit: Looking at other reviews it seems that whoever is in charge of replying to reviews is incredibly defensive and can absolutely never take any criticism. This isn't going to affect my personal review though. Just an observation.

Took my dog here for a few months, I felt like it was great. He was super excited and staff seemed good, they seemed to really care for our dog and that meant a lot to us! I’m giving 3 stars for the hit and miss experiences we've had. 1. This daycare doesn’t seem too knowledgeable with dog temperament/stimulation. My GSD is very toy driven. So during his daycare visits they give him toys and play with him. In once instance, he got super excited/over stimulated and tried to grab a toy while a worker was picking up the toy. This resulted in the worker getting nipped. It's clear this was not out of aggression but excitement and an accident but because of this one off incident they've abrubtly removed us as a long standing customer. Our dog has a great temperament and does not have any aggressive or possessive behaviours so this was very disappointing for us. we've stressed several times that if toys are too much excitement to take them away. 2. It was brought to my attention that there was a situation with another dog who was toy possessive and didn’t like my dog when he had toys. So this dog would become aggressive towards my dog. They never did anything about it, except tell us not to bring our dog in on specific days that the other dog wouldn't be there. (again our dog was not the aggressor in this scenario) if your policy is so strict about human/dog safety why wasn't this dealt with when that temperament was shown. 3. Every other morning when I arrive for drop off, Linda the dog groomer would roll her eyes and glare at me and my dog every time we’d walk in. the second/third time this happened I asked if everything was okay and she mumbled something under her breath. The time after she made a comment to a customer that loud dogs aren't welcome. (making an implication about my loud/excited dog) Not only was this uncomfortable and unprofessional but when I brought it up to the receptionist I was told that β€œshe’s just like that, she doesn't like loud dogs and she’s not very professional” Because of the time we've spent taking our dog here, were disappointed that our loving dog is not longer welcomed because of a one off accident, no different then him getting hurt at daycare - it comes with the territory. Because of how this situation was dealt with and how the other situations were rectified I will no longer recommend this pace.

Never go there again!! When I went in they said the charge was 69.00 dollars. Ninety minutes later when they were done it was 87.00!!! He had a few mats, that justifies an 18.00 price increase. They can not be trusted, only in it for the money!!! I promise you, go someplace else!!! When they looked at my dog, they should have known how much to charge. I checked my dog before we left, I only saw two mats by his paws.I think they will say anything to make more money. I take my dog in twice a year for grooming, this is the first time anyone has mentioned matting. I usually go to my regular groomer, but it took almost 3 weeks to get an appointment. I got an appointment at this place the next day, which shows there is not a lot of repeat business. At my regular groomer, the price is the price, which is the way it should be. Not someone else's opinion on the condition and how much to charge extra.
