Ta-ke sushi & Kitchen

I went in yesterday & received the worst service I’ve ever experienced besides Nova Deli. The first red flag was that she was talking to the cook with her mask pulled down past her chin. She turned around to ask me what I want & forgot to put her mask back up. She proceeded to put the mask back on by grabbing the inside, and no she didn’t even wash her hands afterwards. I should have left right there but I was pretty set on getting some decent Chinese food Alright I’ll try to sum this up but I was pretty disappointed as I really enjoyed coming to this place, I am a frequent customer who tips as well. I ask for a number 2, and for half rice/half noodle. It’s a pretty common request, no other place has ever given me a second look. The woman dropped my container in frustration & rolled her head/eyes saying “pick one”, so I chose one and instead of asking me what meat I want, she turned around and said something to the chef (pulling down her facemask of course, cause we all know how hard it is to talk with them on) then her machine made a noise like a sale & proceeded to run into the back fridge talking to yet another employee. I was not acknowledged, she didn’t even hold up a single finger signaling to wait. After 30 long seconds, she came back and didn’t say anything. Waited for me to tell her what I wanted, again I really should have left but the food is good (when they don’t leave it out for an hour). It speaks for itself, the portion was definitely smaller then what I usually received so it was pretty obvious she was upset for whatever reason. This place actually used to be really good, the guy who owns Bourbon St. Grill used to own this place until he sold it, he told me it was too difficult to run both places so he’s focusing on one. This happened a few years ago and it definitely shows, the service has been constantly going downhill & that was an all time low. I’d recommend Pho Viet, Lee-Garden, or either of the places in the mall. Always exceptional food & service, you shouldn’t treat your customers the way this place does. By the way don’t show up an hour before they close, I did this by mistake a few times. They only have enough for one serving (even though the food looks gross & dry from staying in the warming center too long) and they’ll remind you that it’s late and they close soon. This happened once at 6:50 PM when they closed at 8 PM

Best vegetarian rolls. The yam dragon rolls are amazing ?.

Though skip the dishes. The dishes are small and not reasonably priced. I won’t be ordering from them through skip again.m Their buffet line is good. However I just overpaid $35 dollars for two very small overpriced items so not happy.

One of best Japanese Korean foods you can get around Belleville. Love the Spice Bulgugi and Jjamppong.

Some of the best sushi I've had in BC, Ontario, or QC. Grateful for the chance to chat with the owner while waiting for our large order during a lull in the lunch rush. They ran a large and successful restaurant for years in Toronto before semi-retiring to Belleville to enjoy the quiet small town life. (And bringing their incredible skill and amazing food!) This is also the favourite place for the family we were visiting in town to get typical "Chinese" food: (fried rice; chicken, beef, and shrimp dishes; spring rolls; etc.) We ordered the following sushi, all of which was perfect and enjoyed by the experienced (and picky) sushi lovers, as well as those trying for the first time: - Spicy Combo (spicy California roll, spicy crab roll, spicy salmon roll) - House Roll (deep fried shrimp, cream cheese, salmon, crab meat, cucumber roll topped with extra salmon, avocado and fish roe) - Avocado and Cucumber Roll - Yam Tempura Roll - Yam Green Dragon Roll (deep fried yams, topped with avocado)

This review is for Ta-Ke Kitchen which opened in March 2018 (not Queen's Wok which used to be there before). It's Japanese-Korean-Chinese food. I love their okonomiyaki - a savoury Japanese pancake made from umami batter, cabbage, ham and - I'm pretty sure - bonito flakes. Their take-out menu not only includes chicken fried rice with choice of entrees but also sushi rolls. Their spring and egg rolls are cabbage based, not bean sprouts based. The food tastes so refreshingly different from the usual ones you get in town. I aim to try everything in their menu. The jjampong (spicy korean soup) is really tasty.

New owners, new review. The restaurant now seems divided into your standard steamline North American Chinese buffet, and then numerous bowls that are advertised separately. I had the bidimbap which was very good. The other bowls also seem quite enticing and look fresh and are reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the steamline fare is still (as with previous owners) mediocre at best; the chicken balls were about five percent meat, and the other meat we tried was grisly and bland. Stay away from the buffet I'd say. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

No customer service at all. I order sushi unknowingly since I was thinking roll is sushi. I got a sushi, I realise it is not what we order, after seeing order on counter, I requested them to change it to roll ( which I used to think actual sushi), they refused. If i would have been in there place I would have taken back sushi and given rolls to make customers. I think they do not care. Certainly I am not going back stick WITH OSHI SUSHI IN QUINTE MALL.
