★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This business did not take my phone number or name for contact tracing when I entered for a manicure. I just wanted normal polish and not gel.
The lady doing my nails tried to convince me multiple times to get something which would last longer and look better, to which I declined.
The technician could not get the colour right on my thumb nail, and tried it over and over 4 times until another technician stepped in. On 5th attempt and between the coats, this new technician blew on my nails by taking her mask down! There was a screen between us but unfortunately, not at the area she was blowing! I recoiled and turned my head away, hoping she wouldn't do it again and then she did. At this point, I told her I was not comfortable with her blowing on my hand during this pandemic. The other technician argued that it was needed to dry the polish between coats! I told her it was not appropriate in the age of Covid, and there was definitely not protection and enough space between us! I left the salon with no apology recompense, a ruined manicure, and a threat my health. Won't be back and hope I won't be sick!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a pedicure for the first time in years. It was a great experience and great value! The salon felt very clean and professional, everyone washed their hands prior to their treatment. Vam gave me an amazing pedicure and calf massage, my feet feel and look great...thank you! I will be coming back for the mani-pedi combo deal for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter got her nails done here and I got a pedicure the nails were beautifully done but it was so impersonal the ladies don't talk to you at all. She found that off putting. If you don't want to talk to the ladies that are doing your nails or pedicures this is the place for you. :) Nails were fantastic though.

So much for supporting local. ??
-Garbage on the floor.
-Staff unenthused with a walk in looking for a nail fill and gel polish. Also looking to book another 2 services.
-Staff unfriendly
-No safety (Covid measures) other than a mask.
-Sandwiched me between 2 other clients. (There were several other stations available) We were less than 10inches between each other. In today’s world, a little bit of breathing room would be good.
-Insulted my choice of existing nail look
-When I was asked what I wanted, I said “the same as what I currently have”. Staff proceeded to insult my choice (should’ve walked out at that point!)
-no further communication from the nail tech until I had 4 nails filed off, then tells me they can’t do what I want! Tells me “it would look stupid”. Again with the insult!
-when I asked why they didn’t say that before they took all of the prior nail off, got no real answer.
-they said they have to do a whole new set!
-I have been to many nail places. I have never been treated like such disregard. I have been “up sold” many times before, but not because they filed most of my nails off to force me a new set.
-when asked what they were going to do to fix the nails they removed. “Nothing” was the response.
-I walked out! Never to return.
-hoping to find a respectful, reliable and friendly local to Sooke nail tech!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ great service at the front desk, the lady that did my nails didn't talk to me i tried to make a conversation with her she cut my one finger and a week later my nail broke now i have been in a panic because i feel cheated out of my money. because i got hurt was bleeding and now having a nail that snapped without my knowledge
