Cali nails Belmont market Langford

I went to do a mani and pedi for my birthday, along with my other half. Who also did a mani and pedi. I was not impressed. Firstly I asked for the regular package which I was told is $55. I ended up paying $64. Secondly I had to ask more than once for the sole of my feet to be scrubbed again to remove the dead skin. Thirdly I think it is rude to be speaking in a different language to your coworkers when you are dealing with a customer, then place a smile on your face when you look at them.I am fluent in another language but will never speak in a different language infront of my clients. Fourth- the application of the pollish was sooo uneven and my cuticles were roughly cut. I was told during the manicure session that she will add a glitter pollish to my fingers instead of the clear pollish. When the services were finished I was told there was a added cost for the glitter pollish. I did not say anything as I found this to be a scam for money. Those little things make you loose potential clients. Also my feet was so dry . I have never gone to a nail spa and left sooo disappointed. This was indeed a birthday to remember. I have attached photos of the end product. This is my first and last time going to Cali nails. This spoiled my entire birthday as I was so looking forward to pampering my hands and feet.

My friend and I both went in to get our nails done. It was easy process to just walk in and take a seat. I normally do my own nails in gel at home but wanted to get extensions and treat myself. My extensions were glue-on tips with acrylic on top, not what I thought I would get as I've only had extensions with the foil that goes under your natural nail. And then top coat was done with gel polish. The length and shape I was happy with. Ken was trying to be thorough with filing, buffing, and ensuring there wasn't product under the nail, but what bugged me afterwards was the amount of space between the color portion and the cuticle, not only at the top but also around the sides too. My friend and I compared nails after and she even noticed how much space there was. I messaged to ask about fixing them, and was told it would be fine and I should call in beforehand in case it was busy. I sent a photo in to show what my nails looked like and said yes we could fix. I went in today and one of the techs told me they wouldn't fix and that it was due to my natural growth. *If my nails grew this fast I would have done them myself at home for free.* She kept repeating it was due to growth and turned to another tech and said something to him in another language and he said the same. They ended up making me feel really bad about the whole situation, and I didn't want to argue about it with them. One person tells you that they will fix it, and then the other person goes and says they won't because it was not their fault. I spent $60 on something that was supposed to be nice for myself and was left being disappointed and dissatisfied. There was no offer of discount or refund for future visit. Seeing the other beautiful nails posted here on Google is what made me want to go, and comparing them to mine makes me wonder.

Everyone is lovely however today was my second attempt at getting a gel pedicure and the quality of work is unacceptable. Cuticles were painted over, lumpy, bumpy polish, just a dab of top coat and not cured properly so they were tacky. I do not recommend getting in Ken’s chair. My 11 year old daughter had a gel manicure by Ty. Cuticles and hang nails weren’t even touched and you can see right through the polish? I get it she’s only 11 but I paid full price for a full manicure service. He was great with her and conversation but I don’t appreciate him cutting corners and trying to save on product. Lastly, be mindful when calling as they have you on speakerphone which is extremely unprofessional for the caller and for those on-site trying to enjoy their services. There will be good days and bad days for any business. Today was a bad day for Cali Nails Belmont Market and unfortunately it was their second chance to create a memorable experience for me. I will not be back and I think people should think twice before they spend their hard earned money on treating themselves at this location.

Ken was very friendly and personable. His attention to detail was appreciated and it is obvious that he goes above and beyond for his clients. This was my first time going to Cali nails and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Came here on recommendation. Wasn't disappointed. They we're really nice. And the jobs done were good. Pricing was confusing, but we sort of knew that from other reviews. Will probably be back. Edit: my nail snapped. Didn't even last 48 hours. And it's not like I was doing anything crazy either. Very unhappy Edit#2 : they did fix it for free. Very happy about that. But the nails do not last long. Chips of the paint have come off. Lost one full nail. Been 3 weeks. And not one nail has lasted fully.
