We are in a group of more than 6 people and they was already a service charge on the bill, but when paying, they seem to expect you to tip. And if you don’t tip, you can tell and they will make you feel ungrateful.

There was a misunderstanding between us and the short female server when we asked for sauce on the side (for all rolls). She thought we had only meant for one, and when the rolls were incorrectly brought out, she gave us attitude when it was asked to be rectified. No apology or even acknowledgement of the misunderstanding whatsoever. However, our other older female server was very friendly. As for the taste, with such higher prices compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area, we expected good quality sushi but were met with mediocrity. Really nothing special about the food here. You're better off going to Sushi California where the taste is better, service is faster and friendlier, and prices are cheaper.
H	HA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service with a great, quiet atmosphere. All the sushi and rolls were super fresh and flavorful with some unusual twists. I had the Sweetheart roll with super flavorful tuna. My family had various pieces of tuna sushi that all proved to be fresh, flavorful and nicely prepared. The servers were all attentive yet not oppressive, and gave some great insight to the menu, including good recommendations from a selection of sake. We didn't stay long after our meal because of theater and Knicks tickets, but felt very welcome to stay and enjoy as long as we wanted. Overall, a great dining experience.

Asked the restaurant to hold off on the usual sesame seeds but the chefs still sprinkled sesame seeds everywhere on four sushi rolls. The sushi that we did get was stale and disgusting (see brownish avocado on enclosed photo). Keep your money and get your sushi elsewhere.
