β β β β β Everything was amazing from the service, the atmosphere, and to the sushi! Definitely will come back again. Although the price is definitely on the high side, it was worth the experience. The chef was also very considerate of our meal, ensuring each of us were satisfied.

β β β β β I love this place, I took my boyfriend on our anniversary and my close friend For her birthday. Definitely my go-to for special events!
All the seafood was fresh, price was reasonable $138 pp. I added the extra wagyu sushi at the end. The brown sugar tofu desert was so yummy at the end! The space has only bar seating and no table dining. The servers were very attentive to all the guests and the chefs were professional and clean.
Highly recommend to check it out!

β β β β β This was my first time going to Sushi Umi and it was a PHENOMENAL experience. I would return here in a heart-beat.
The black cod starter course is so well seasoned and balanced, with a ton of umami flavor and smooth texture. The fish, especially the different types of tuna (Chutoro, Otoro and Akami) that they offer are fresh with satisfying portions. The pieces are simple, and highlight the natural flavors of the fish. My absolute favorite are the lightly torched Otoro (it has the delicious smoky/char flavor with a hint of tuna fat), Foie Gras with sea urchin (very creamy and delicious) and the scallop with caviar on top (exploding taste of the ocean, full of umami). All the flavors of the nigiri work so perfectly together, nothing was too overwhelming, just perfect.
The staff is incredibly professional and the interior is a cozy date night spot. If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a nice dinner. It's a perfect entry into fancier cuts of fish or omakase style dining at very reasonable prices!

β β β β β Yesterday evening my girlfriend and I tried out Sushi Umi to celebrate our anniversary.
The restaurant is a bit tucked away and on the opposite side from the main parking lot, so it did take us a moment to find it, but the interior is very nice, exceptionally clean, and has a very unique ambiance. It is very much so catering to an experience rather than just food.
During our experience, we were the only couple who showed up right on time so we had some time to quietly watch the chef at work and chat amongst ourselves. The music was peaceful, and it was quiet enough for us to whisper amongst ourselves. The service was very quick to provide us with drinks, refills, napkins etc. As well as the Chef asked if we were ready to begin.
The Omakase experience was exceptional. Everything we ate was very carefully crafted and the chef showed great skill. My favorite piece personally was the Wagyu roll or the Otoro roll, which literally melted in our mouths.
Overall, the total experience lasted 70-90 minutes and with an additional Wagyu roll cost us around 220$ including tax and tip (we do not drink so adjust accordingly).
Overall, we had a very nice time. While this is more of a special occasion stop as we are in our mid 20s, I would definitely recommend it as the food, and experience was a welcoming treat. If you have the chance and the finances to come here, I would recommend you at least give it a try!

β β β β β My partner and I came for our anniversary dinner and really enjoyed the experience! The restaurant was super cozy, and was very clean. We felt we were sufficiently distanced from other parties.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. There wasnβt a dish they served that we didnβt enjoy! We were very full and satisfied with everything. Hope to come back again soon!

β β β β β Awesome experience as soon as you walk in! The restaurant is essentially one private room and a stewardess welcomes you in, takes your coat and leads you to your seat. They serve 10 people each session so everyone is spaced out.
The plum wine sake was great if you like something a little sweeter. The fish was excellent.
