J	Jason Day on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ RUDE. We booked a room hoping to use the pool and water slide. We called immediately after booking to check what time the pool was open only to find out it was under repair. We requested a refund and were told no. After explaining we booked it for the pool they said they offered passes to the community centre. but the centre required vax passes so we couldn’t go there. Then they still said no as they would require the passes to use this pool as well. No where on their site or booking page did it say this. They were incredibly rude. Judging by past reviews we didn’t miss out on much.
V	Verified Hotel Guest on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Convenience with Black Rooster restaurant next door. Staff were friendly. Negative: We booked the room for 4 people yet got only 2 sets of towels. Didn't get a full roll of toilet paper and there was no spared roll in the sink cabinet. The tissue box had only 1 sheet left??? Wow!!! The TV remote wasn't fully functioning

The pillows are very comfy which picks up slack for the stiffer set mattress. There is a liquor store attached to the hotel...and a grocery store 30 seconds away in the same parking lot.
L	Leeno Rolle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Front desk staff was a 5/5. We spent a total of 4 nights. I found them to be very friendly and responded to our inquiries relatively quickly. They even suprised the kids with a special fun room for our last night. Felt family orientated Room cleanliness was 5/5. Morning breakfast was fairly straight forward with a Great fun little waffle maker.( suggest 2:30min for the perfect textured waffle ). I’d give the breakfast a 3/5 due to its simplicity. The pool was a blast the first night and the kids loved the pool. It’s cool because the slide ends in water that even my 4 year old could manage on his own. Restaurant next door was super convenient and had great service and hosts. 4/5 overall due to some smells coming from venting into our room that continued for 2 nights. Not the fault of the hotel in any sense simply felt it may have been tracked down better to source . Highly suggest this for any family visits

I was happy because my boys were happy. Truly a good experience for quiet, clean, and comfortable place to stay. Very enjoyable for my son's and I.

Check in wasn’t until 4 pm and our rooms weren’t even ready by then. We had 2 children and a disabled person waiting for our rooms in the hallway while they vacuumed and had to steal clean towels from other rooms. An incredibly terrible disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel to families with children. There are much better places for lower prices and better accommodations

We booked in advance and requested a quiet room, but received a pool facing room because they missed the note. It was noisy until 10pm every night when the pool closed. Pam, at the front desk did a great job.
T	Tanisha Morales on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 3.5 stars I would… it’s not quite deserving of 4. My husband and I stayed here during our first time in Castlegar. Like mentioned in other reviews, when we arrived we discovered that the pool and hot tub were closed for ‘maintenance’ although we could see the pool and it looked fine… I can see how this would be a big let down/issue for people with kids or who book this hotel largely for that perk. The breakfast that is provided is terrible… no protein options other than some hard boiled eggs. The fruit options looked really sad and the selection of cereals/pastries was also limited. We ended up going elsewhere for a proper breakfast. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in a king room which has a small kitchenette including a stove and a larger than average mini fridge. Keurig coffee is provided but no real cream- only coffee mate. Soundproofing could be better- our last night there we could hear a lot of thumping around above us. The location is central- walking distance to everything you could want such as groceries, liquor store, brewery, and restaurants. All of the staff were also very friendly.
