Crab cake Benedict anyone? Nice draw on the menu with this seafood option. Asked for sauce on the side but oh well, scraped some off. Tastes good all around. Home made grill potatoes not loaded with seasoning salt, bonus! Service is very attentive, thank you ?

My review is positive towards sunsetgrill. I enjoy going for breakfast here....BUT on more than 1 occasion I have been very disappointed in the behavior of one of the servers. CHARLENE. She is very inappropriate with her conversations and interactions with other staff members and customers. At one point myself and guest almost had to get up and tell her to stop arguing and being difficult with other staff members who appeared to be working together just fine. She was gossiping and talking poorly about other establishments and other staff members. Myself and guest go there for breakfast not to listen to a grown woman act like a child.

Good breakfast spot (chain) located in north Oshawa. It was pretty busy when we went, but they seated us quickly. I had the breakfast poutine which was pretty good. Not the particular restaurants fault, but the chain - they should really be using cheese curds with it. Would make a big difference. A little bit more lemon in the hollandaise would also be appreciated. They had a crab cake Benny as well that looked interesting, but didn’t list where the crab was from and were unable to tell me when I asked, so I opted for the poutine instead. My friends all enjoyed their meals and my vegan friend was glad to see a savoury vegan option on the menu. I would recommend that the hosts start taking names so that you know which order to seat ppl (or at least plan based on # of ppl) because they didn’t do that and they tried to serve another customer before us because they weren’t keeping track. Seems like this has been an issue before based on some other reviews.

Went here early on Sunday, the server was very nice lady, coffee was just okay nothing special. Had the french connection which was french toast, 3 eggs and home fries with sausages. French toast was good, home fries were just okay. Sausages and eggs were small. The atmosphere itself was also not bad. Prices aren't that bad. Love the pure maple syrup, it comes in neat little bottle which you can take home but the cost is alittle over 2 dollars.

This is yet another breakfast franchise restaurant. That being said, I’ve never been disappointed with a meal at Sunset. This location had very friendly service and well maintained facilities. The salmon egg sunset is to die for. If you’re local or passing through, it’s worth stopping by for a bite.

I went to Sunset Grill in Oshawa, on April 18. As I sat at my table, I watched the β€œcook”. First of all, handling hamburger patties, no gloves, then sticking his hands in a container for veggies for salad, again, no gloves, other food items were touched, not even washed his hands!!!!!! It was disgusting ? I’ll called the owner over to my table to tell him what I saw, he apologized and said that he wasn’t the regular cook! Regular cook or not, should have been trained in food handling! Never going back. I hope that no one got sick! ?

I took my dad here for lunch when we were in the area. Parking is plenty and it's free which is nice. Due to covid this location has limited seating to allow for social distancing. Service is quick as they have plenty of staff and the wait wasn't too long. Staff is friendly and accommodating and once they take your order it's usually a quick service. Breakfast was tasty and ordered exactly to request. One downside is how busy it was we didn't get a refill on the coffees but the waters held us by. Overall we enjoy the sunset franchise and adore the generous portions. Definitely worth a visit if your in town We give it a 4/5.
