Luckily I had family check in on them and was informed that they were filthy, not allowed to keep their blanket, and obviously not being let out of the pan at all. We choose this place because we did not want our babies kept in crates all day, but they did not provide the care that was promised. I'm just grateful they didn't lose my dogs as they have lost many!!! too bad these dog owners don't care enough to post reviews.

When I came to pick him up he did not want to go home. I highly recommend. I even had a few questions for the Dr about buddy that were concerning me and he was able to do a full check up for me...saved me time and money from having to go to a different vet. I will definitely be back for more visits!
S	Stephanie Lariviere on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Writing this review is not easy because I took my dog to Sunset Dog retreat a few times prior and was delighted with the service we received. Sadly, It all changed after I had made an online booking for my dog. I made a point of checking their hours since we were leaving early in the morning. If you notice the hours advertised are 7am-7pm everyday. I showed up at 7h15am Sunday morning and waited half an hour. The place was in darkness, I called the numbers available several times and only got voicemail. I came to the realization that nobody was showing up so I left them a message asking them to call me as soon as possible so that I could drive all the way back up there and drop my dog off then get going. I went home and waited, and waited, then waited some more. I called them every 15-20 minutes and only got voicemail. By 10am I decided to call around and found a kennel with availabilities who agreed to take my dog last minute. We lost 3 hours waiting around for them and nobody called us back. As a matter of fact it is now 5 days later and I have not heard a peep from them. I know my booking was legit as they sent me a confirmation and a reminder 2 days before. I will not take my dog there in the future as I obviously value my time more than they do.

The staff are amazing with our dog & he just loves them! They take the time to get to know the dog & work well with them. They are always knowledgeable & helpful if we have any questions related to our dog. We’re so happy we found sunset & it is a great place, I’ll leave my dog in their trust anytime, it is an amazing place.
M	Mitchell Ferris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dog loves the staff at Sunset Dog Retreat, they treat her so well that as soon as we enter the driveway she can barley contain her excitement in the back seat of the truck. Couldn't be more comfortable leaving my dog with anyone else, competitive rates with clean conditions plus my dog is ready to sleep by the time she gets home from playing all day! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a spot to look after their pup while their away, even if it's just for the day!

Booked a Meet N Greet online and didn't receive any confirmation that this appointment was booked. Called multiple times and no one answered. Sent them a separate email to only get a automated response saying they would get back to me in 2 days but the appointment was for the next day. Drove 45 minutes to the place thinking that our appointment was okay. When i got there the man told me that they are full and aren't accepting dogs. Might be a good idea to turn off the online booking or have notice on your website saying that you are full before people waste their time. Even then, answering your phone also helps before driving to your location. Funny thing is that I received an email 2 days after I wasted my time saying that my appointment is not confirmed. Good to know !

P	Patricia Maggiolo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our 7 year old mid-size dog loves staying. She’s always tire when home and I can tell she gets lots of exercise. They watch the dog at first and try to find a playmate for them and then they let the two out in a pen together. I also love lots of closed circuit video to make it easy for the staff to monitor all the dogs at one time. At night, dogs get heated floor and former horse stalls for sleeping. Al has always been awesome with us! Encourage you to consider this place if your dog is used to playing with others and is used to off leash!
