Stay away.... This is not a breeder that will stand by her dogs. Anyone can breed a dog once in a while with health issues, but a good breeder will 'make it right'... this one certainly won't.

My friend purchased a puppy from here and had some severe genetic health issues and instead of honouring a 1 year health guarantee, she deleted her page and blocked her on everything. This women is a horrible breeder and I would never trust buying a puppy from her

UPDATE: We finally got a diagnosis in September 2019. So I thought I'd keep you all posted. The Cardiologist diagnosed Ember with "Inherited Conduction Defect" (Channelopathy) causing the previously identified SVT. As such she is to continue the diltiazem 30 mg po tid for life and recheck the ECG every 3-4 months, sooner if indicated by clinical signs. This is the review that I left for Ember's Breeder Jean Price of Wolvesden Kennels. Sadly she has not been supportive once in this whole thing with Ember. Not even to ask how we are doing :( or how she is doing. We did end up asking her for a replacement puppy or money back, but she refused saying that its not proven that Ember's issues are genetic. Her issues are 100% congenital, so it is genetic. It is still undetermined if it is hereditary. But it will take all the lines to live out their years before it can be said that it is or isn't hereditary. Since our conversations and her lack of support and lack responsibility/accountablility, I decided that if she had no issues with Ember's issues, and she thought it wasn't her problem- that I would tag her in the previous posts of Ember's journey for the last 5 months. She has since blocked me on Facebook. "If I could give Wolvesden Kennel a NO RECOMMENDATION I would. We were looking for a family dog that I could dabble in IPO with, use for a business dog (dog training business), and Search and Rescue..... We bought a pup back in Sept. 2018. The pup was from Roxy Stasi and Odin von MuldenschlΓΆsschen... for approx $2700 with shipping and extra costs. Although she has an AMAZING temperament... at one year of age, we have spent $13,000 on Heart Testing/Meds and Allergy Medication. It all started when she was 7 months old and our vet heard her heart sound like bongo drums on a routine check. Within 2 months she was diagnosed with SVT (Supraventricular tachycardia), 2nd degree heart block and re-entry conductivity heart issue. We have been dealing with the issue for 5 months with NO Support from Jean (the breeder). At no time did she offer any support. Not even a "How are you doing? How is Ember doing?" through the entire process. She was just defensive and said that none of her dogs "had any issues". Fast forward 5 months. We asked Jean for a replacement puppy, or money back. Since the dog that we had could not do any of the things we initially purchased her for. She denied me saying that "It is very disheartening and sad for all involved as owner and breeder for no clear reason things can happen. We do the best to pair two healthy dogs together to get good or better offspring. I hope Ember improves. As things stand from here, this isn't clear that it is genetic." I have also learned that none of her current dogs are cleared with OFA or any health testing. They also are not registered with AKC, CKC, or UKC... so not sure how she is saying her dogs are "registered". She lied to me about other dogs having Allergy issues... and I Know of one personally that has severe allergies. As a new Shepherd owner... I didnt know know about all the logistics about finding out the correct testing... and it bit me in the a$$. I did ask about papers and testing... but Jean let me know that it was impossible to get the pups papered because the dad was UKC. The complications between CKC and UKC were "Complicated". If anyone would like copies of our conversation.. I am more then happy to share them. BUYER BEWARE!!! DOG WITH HEART ISSUES, DOG WITH SEVERE ALLERGIES, DOG WITH SVT, DOG WITH 2ND DEGREE HEART BLOCK, DOG WITH RE-ENTRY CONDUCTIVITY HEART ISSUE. @Wolvesden Kennels @Jean Price #Wolvesdenkennels #JeanPrice

Very happy with this Breeder. My husband and I have own purebred gsd's for 15 years. While my husband has had a purebred gsd in his family for over 45 years. With that many years experience with 1 type of dog my husband is very specific in what he is looking for. Our gsd dogs live on a 13 acre hobby farm but are treated as part of the family. They go to the beach, park and for runs with the family as well as living with an older gsd, chickens, bengal cats and an occasional goat. They also sleep in the house with us at night. When our last GSD passed away in May of 2019 my husband began the search for an other gsd that could live up to the standard of his last best friend. He and I made numerous trips to ontario breeders in search of a gsd that fit his requirements. Ever drive 3 hrs to look at a puppy and walk away empty handed then you have not met my husband. He always said unless you have a game plan your comming home with a puppy if you go to look at one.. We always walked away without a puppy as he had his check list. Then we found Jean Price. Though at the time she had no pups she was quick to offer "to point us to other respected breeders " who had ddr gsd that fit our requirements. It felt like they texted and talked for hours on what he was looking for and what a good gsd should be in breeding and temperment. In the end my husband decided to wait 5 or 6 months for one of Jean's dogs. A long wait as many other breeders had puppies available and ready to go during the summer(nice weather). On Oct 30th my eldest son and I picked up our Dark Sable GSD. Vet checked with a clean bill of health our family could not be happier with the Pup and with Jean. We were looking for a confident, solid Body dog with a blocky head with a typical DDR characteristics. Temperment This pup has taken everything in stride. He hangs out with our older gsd and is in full play mode with our Bengal cats. (Which can be a little hairy. Bengals like dogs though) He has an awesome on/off switch which is great as he is sleeps in the house. My older gsd is a little yappy and i was worried he would pick that trait up, nope he is perfectly chill unless the cat wont play with him the he gives a lets play bark. He is not needy or show any signs of seperation issues. This Pup is great in dealing with so many kids, and other animals. For example being fed to avoid a puppy from eating other dogs or cats food he has been put in a bedroom to ensure no one over steps his bounds. I found him patiently waiting at the door to be fed. I hate to sound like a proud parent but this pup is smart. In 5 days he already knows his name, sit, lay and come. He also knows "leave the cat alone "but chooses to ignore that command. We were looking for a Dark Sable gsd of ddr background who is confident and well balanced in drives as the intention of the original gsd who will become part of our family. We are so happy with this little guy that we are planning on getting a second one from Jean when our older Gsd passes. Jean has a passion for her Dogs and i am sure you will not be disappointed in dealing with her.

I purchased a puppy from Wolvesden kennel and he's now 1.5 years old. Parents MaltaxOdin, 100%health check, DM clear(neg) and reg akc.in US. Excellent temperament and drive. When getting puppy Jean was great to work with and getting the right puppy for our needs. She would send helpful information in care and updates in health resources. If i have a question very responsive answer. Jean loves and cares for each of her dogs and family's who own and it shows. I never expected the continuity of care she delivers... I highly recommend and give rating of 10 ?.

I have two dogs sold to me by Jean. I have been more than satisfied with Jean's help and support throughout the entire time since acquiring my dogs and settling them into my home. Jean is always responsive to messages whether I need advice or just want to tell her how wonderful my dogs are and how well they are doing. My dogs are intelligent, affectionate, stable, healthy, not to mention gorgeous, and the lovely girl I am training for competition is a dream worker. Couldn't ask for better.

I have a nearly two year old GSD from Jean Price. She is solid, stable, friendly, drivey, a very hard worker, and just an all-around intelligent dog who is a real pleasure to train, work with, and live with. She is training to compete in French and Mondio Ring and Agility. She loves disc and just earned her first Rally novice title with some great scores! She is a useful all-around farm dog, too, loves people, and is gentle with puppies. I could not have asked for a better GSD, she is FANTASTIC! Jean knows her German Shepherds. I highly recommend her kennel.
