โ โ โ โ โ Although the premises are bright, clean and lovely, it's the staff that truly stand out at Sunrise. They are exceptionally patient, cheerful and kind. The care they give my mother provides our family with real peace of mind.

โ โ โ โ โ Sunrise of Unionville has been very helpful during a very difficult time (Covid) when we had to admit my Stepfather. Everyone from the Director of Sales to the Reminiscence Coordinator to the care takers have gone over above and beyond to make sure we are well informed. During Covid Shut down we have always been able to contact and talk to my Stepdad and the staff to make sure all is well. This transition is never an easy one for anyone but Sunrise of Unionville has been there every step of the way and have been incredibly helpful. Our family would highly recommend Sunrise of Unionville.

โ โ โ โ โ My Mom has been a resident of the the Reminiscence floor of Sunrise of Unionville for about 1.5 years. The staff have made every effort to create a welcoming environment and help her to feel at home. Having a Designated Care Manager (DCM) gives my family peace of mind that we have a โgo toโ person if we ever have questions. Hyacinth, my Momโs DCM, is not only professional, but treats my Mom with a level of care and compassion that goes above and beyond.
Throughout the last year and the many challenges of COVID-19, the staff have been amazing in working very hard to keep the residents safe, while trying to provide extra activities for stimulation.We are kept well informed with weekly communications from Sunrise management. As well, Dorothy the Activities Coordinator set up a โSmile Appโ in the last year that keeps us connected with messages and photos, plus updates on planned activities and special events which is really appreciated.
My family and I feel very fortunate that we were able to find Sunrise for our Mom after her dementia made it too difficult for her to cope in her own home. We would not hesitate to recommend Sunrise of Unionville to anyone looking for a warm, safe new home for their loved one.

โ โ โ โ โ My mom moved in to Sunwise almost two weeks now. We really appreciate the staffs there as they are very kind, gentle, and respond to her needs in a speedy manner. My mom don't understand English, but the staffs can still able to communicate and assist her without any problems. The environment is neat and clean, and they offer delicious food.

โ โ โ โ โ My mother moved into Sunrise Unionville a year and a half ago and our entire family is so pleased that she did! As her alzheimers has progressed since her arrival, the care she has received - and continues to receive - is exemplary. All of the staff are extremely caring, generous, and so welcoming to everyone. We recommend this exceptional residence to anyone whose loved one deserves a place like home!

โ โ โ โ โ My parents moved into Sunrise of Unionville seven years ago and during this time we have been impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of everyone there. When our father passed away two years ago, the staff could not have been more caring and supportive of our Mother.. The meals are well planned and nutritious. There are always activities for the residents to help them both physically and mentally and the staff go out of their way to help not only the resident but also the family.

โ โ โ โ โ My Mom moved into the Reminiscence floor of Sunrise about 10 months ago from another retirement home. I concur with many of the positive points made by other reviewers about the care provided by the Designated Care Managers. The Reminiscence care managers have done a great job getting to know my Mom, and treating her with dignity and respect. My Mom feels safe and secure; and she feels at home. This is much more challenging to do during a pandemic, and also much more challenging when the resident has dementia. It is worth mentioning that a number of the care managers have been working at Sunrise of Unionville for over 20 years, and I am sure that residents benefit from the expertise and wisdom of staff with long experience.
My mother seems to be very happy with the food, echoing comments made by other reviewers.
Also, the medical staff got to the bottom of an existing issue that I feel very comfortable saying should at least have been investigated more thoroughly by the previous care facility in the months before my Momโs move to Sunrise.
I feel fortunate that we found out about Sunrise, that we were able to move my mother into Sunrise of Unionville when we did. I am happy that she has become comfortable there. I am very appreciative of the care provided by the care managers and the rest of the team, especially during these challenging pandemic times.
