★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unless you are well versed in BC tenancy rights and have the time to go through all of the steps to protect yourself I encourage would be renters to avoid this place. The units themselves are okay and somewhat reasonably priced based on the market, but the management team, specifically Ali are what you need to be mindful of.
Ali was very dishonest about many things about the building which are what sold me on it to begin with. Being a new cheaper build, soundproofing is not a priority, you can hear just about everything your neighbours do. For the move in inspection I had asked about several marks on the walls and floor, she had told me no big deal we don't charge for minor cosmetic damages, when moving out she told me that I was responsible for them and will be deducted from my damage deposit. The unit was also not clean when I had moved in, dust everywhere, but I was expected to leave the place looking brand new which I did but apparently not enough for her so she charged me for 4 hours of cleaning which I highly doubt they even did. I was also told the building was pet-free but this was obviously not the case as I had allergies walking through the halls, and would occasionally smell cats. I lived here for over a year and would never consider moving back.
George the other building manager is a nice enough guy, but doesn't have any real authority or power since Ali pushes him around, she is the one who is really in charge and the one you need to worry about. I was so appalled by my experience with the deceptive practices, that I had to leave a review for the first time to inform others. Kind of funny there are so many 5 star first time reviews for this building, would leave me to believe they are not genuine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't end up renting here but the process to view the apartments during lock down was exceptional. Maicke walked me through the space, spent a lot of time understanding my concerns, highlighting what I was interested in and showing me different angles and views. It was so nice to have a person on the other end of the screen rather than some online based 3D view. The apartments had great sized rooms and an amazing amount of storage space compared to similar places I viewed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were rented 2 bedroom apartment at this building for one year (just moved out). We signed a contract two months before moving here from another province. When we came here George met us after a long trip without any delays. We took an apartment in accordance with the checklist, noted minor bugs that were eliminated in the first month of our stay, as a manager promised. We also used a parking stall, a locker for the stuff, and for bicycles (separately). Despite the fact that the building is made of wood (mid-rise), nevertheless, the sound insulation is quite good or we were just so lucky with our neighbors. Excellent location, there are many shops and restaurants nearby, sports facilities, school board and several schools within walking distance. One of the main advantages of the building itself is the presence of heated floors throughout the unit instead of conventional electric radiators, the design of the bathrooms, and the presence of a personal washer and dryer in the unit, quick feedback from the building managers on all issues that arise. There is no need to argue about the rental price since this is North Vancouver, all housing here is not cheap. After living for 1 year at the Sundance apartment, our family stayed satisfied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My unit was 512 Mountain View which is spectacular all year, it’s a Quiet non-smoker no pet building also if your a barbecue person it’s Available only on six floor.
My unit was warm in Winter since it’s a floor heated building .
Elham is very nice friendly person who responds to my needs Quickly , and also George fixes everything that is broken .
The building is nice and clean all the time ,and mangers doesn’t Tolerate smoking inside which was perfect for me.
It’s close to all your needs, bus stop, grocery hospital clinic , London drugs And so on.
Remember that there is high expectation of cleaning when you move out which is fair for next person.
I lived one year and then move to other unit since I needed a bigger place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My stay here at Sundance Apartments was wonderful , safe, and welcoming. I felt comfortable and right at home from the moment I entered the building. Very well maintained, clean building and excellent management. Very prompt responses to any concerns and always ready to serve at a moments notice. Would highly recommend this place. Location is prime and the view of the North Shore mountains simply breathtaking! Two thumbs up!

Ali and George are the best managers. They are always friendly, helpful and very kind. George is always ready to help immediately with any issues arise.
It’s amazing place to live and I am so delighted to be as a tenant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have lived here for 2 years and absolutely love it. It was our first time renting. George is always quick at responding to any fixes that need to be made (which are little to none). We first moved into the studio and then moved into a one bedroom and just recently a two bedroom. Each move they accommodated us and gave us a few days cross over of both units to ensure ample time to move and clean. The building is in a great location in the heart of Lonsdale and close to everything. It’s a newer building and all of the units we’ve lived in have been in excellent condition. We rarely hear any of our neighbors. The other tenants are friendly. The cleaning standard for moving out is high, but it ensures the place is left in great condition for the next tenant, just like when you got it. It’s a good quality place to live and the hallways and lobby are always clean. 100% would recommend living here, for all ages and families.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience with them. Building owner(s) in the shadow. A manager that is not truthful and reliable. They rent at higher rates that those of the neighborhood and charge the tenant at the time of moving out. The din dit return part my deposit.
The quality of sound proofing between the stories and the units is not good at all, so you hear the noises of your neighbors and get the complaints of them for the noise as well.
The manager does not treat people ethically. Don't rent there it you will regret it.
