★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been going to Sumaru's auto for 9 years now, and they have worked on various vehicles for my family and I. These include a Dodge Caravan, Nissan 180SX Type-2, Nissan Skyline, VW Golf GTI, Mazda 323 GTX, etc. They are prompt and honest with their service. I don't go anywhere else because I know I'm not going to be overcharged and the repair is going to be successful. Great place for performance work, too... their race cars speak for themselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys do decent work, the tech are very knowledgeable. Had some transmission work done and the cost blew me away. I paid $3200 on a job that should’ve cost half that. Left my car outside in -30 and said if I didn’t help them push it into the shop that they would charge me for that too. Their customer service was brutal and I can’t recommend these guys. Completely don’t understand how to handle customer. It was a brutal experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exhaust manifold bolts broke off in the block on my 91 r32 skyline. They were able to get the 3 or 4 bolts out in just 4 hours. Very impressed! Good reasonable price too!

The staff are super friendly, prompt and easy to talk to. I used them before a year or so ago but yesterday evening my engine light came on. I called the bigger dealerships today and couldn't get an appointment for weeks. I called Sumaru...30 minutes later I was at their shop and my engine light issue was being diagnosed. I was able to drive it home with an expectation of getting some quotes on the repairs needed. I got a phone call within 30 mins of arriving home! And they were lower than expected. It's hard to describe "car trouble" as a delightful experience, but dealing with Cory, Brandy et al is an absolute pleasure!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't recommend Sumaru's enough, what an awesome shop! They are honest and priced competitively. I took my truck in for an inspection and brake service, they were fast and made sure I understood everything that was changed. Everyone there is also a pleasure to talk to. Great shop, great folks and great service, can't ask for more. Would not have made it back home to San Diego if it werent for them, thanks guys!

I had a clutch issue and they did a good work but.. they told me it will take around 6 or 7 hours labour to get it done.. ends with a 10 hours labour and a bill of 1400$ .. I'm not happy at all .. how's possible to take 3 hours to drop a transmission down.. but taking 7 hours to put it back up .. it sounds not right to me.. ... You probably did a good profit on me.. but you lost a good customer. I was going to ask a estimate to get a engine rebuilt .. oh well..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just got my 2011 Subaru Outback back from these guys and I am very impressed. I normally go to Apex but decided to try these guys out after hearing some good things -I'm glad I did. Brandy called me to give me continuous updates on the car, keeping me informed. Not only that but she also took time to research a problem I was having with it, looking online, on outback forums, etc and she finally solved it! The guys in the back did a great job with everything the car needed, great work. They were also very personable, funny, and definitely knew what they were talking about. I appreciate the great customer service from everyone here. If I ever have anymore problems in the future, this is where I'll go to get them fixed. Hands down the best mechanic experience I've had. I highly recommend them for your import needs!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They always do a great job on my 2001 Xterra. They let me know what needs fixing and what I probably should just maintain as is. I appreciate that because my vehicle is getting up there in age and it’s not really worth as much as it used to be.
Ok so this review was true at the time originally 4 stars but I had to change the review because of a bad experience.
Sumarus is not the shop it used to be. I do not recommend this shop any longer. I needed a simple job done I had to return 2 times because they kept on making mistakes. The first time I literally just paid and left and they didn’t even do any repairs. Ok so I paid for something that literally didn’t happen. They were cool though because they took my vehicle back in and fixed it a day later. So The issue was fixed for about 5 minutes but I drove down the road and still the issue wasn’t fixed. Arg ok so now I paid once and came back and now they pretended to fix it. I took my vehicle back and the next day it was fixed. So two days of this getting rides to the shop what a hassle. Anyway that’s my story a great shop is no longer a great shop. This is all true
